I am such an Eclaire victim...
... And every time a new alternative came along, I bought it too. Just to find out if there was something better than Eclaire after all.

Tiramisu Caramel, Eclaire Affair, Cream Velvet, Vanilla Voyage. They were all here. And somehow they were rarely allowed to stay, because Lattafa Eclaire was unbeatable for me.

No question, they were all beautiful. But somehow their sillage and longevity were often not as convincing or their notes not quite as beautiful as my beloved Eclaire.

Then came Vanille Latte. I ordered it out of curiosity but without any expectations because of the pretty bottle. It was so strong at first, it tickled my nose. But it was mega. It reminded me most of Vanilla Voyage (probably because Maison Asrar and Gulf Orchid seem to belong together somehow), but it was too subtle for me. Vanilla Latte is much stronger than Vanilla Voyage. It is denser, richer and more vanilla than Eclaire, which is lighter for me and has a waffle note.

I often hear that people find something off-putting about Eclaire. It could be that they like this one better. And if you're a gourmand aunt like me: this one is a feast!

Beautiful fruity summer fragrance for men and women
I didn't like this fragrance at first because the woods, moss and oriental spices took me by surprise. I hadn't expected that and I was also new to the world of Arabic fragrances. I gave my first bottle to a colleague, disappointed.

She wore it and then I was totally surprised: it smelled very fruity on her somehow, great apple, juicy plum, some lychee and a nice play with the oriental vibe.

So a Sublime was allowed to move in again. I sprayed it and let it mature thoroughly. Lo and behold: great fragrance.

You have to like apple shampoo with wood and spice.

My partner really likes wearing this fragrance at the moment with the warm temperatures. It's not too much, but it's still very noticeable, even after hours. He immediately received compliments at a family celebration about how good it smells again.

I can therefore advise both sexes to give it a try for spring and summer.

It is a little unusual and may take a few tries, but then you can really love it.

Badee Al Oud Sublime vs. Kiss of Rose
I now have both fragrances here and for me there are clear differences. First I had the Sublime, which has the same appley DNA as the Kiss of Rose, but for me there are clear differences:

Kiss of Rose is fruitier, more shampoo-like. Sublime is woodier, more mossy in drydown and has more oriental spices the longer it is on the skin. I thought I needed the Kiss of Rose because I wanted the same scent as in Sublime, just without the oriental touch, and I wanted more apple. However, I now realize that the Kiss of Rose is more pungent and synthetic and somehow lacks a counterpart. I also find the longevity of Kiss of Rose disappointing, even though it's super cheap. I'd rather pay more and have better longevity. It evaporates enormously within the first half hour.

I had given Sublime to my partner with high expectations, as it is also a great fruity summer fragrance for men. But now I'm going to help myself to his bottle. The Sublime is more long-lasting overall, with moderate sillage. You just have to be open to oriental notes.

Goes in the direction of Lattafa Eclaire, but with clear differences
For me, it's in the same corner as the Eclaire Lattafa, but the Eclaire is more waffly, has more depth for me due to the clearer white flowers and is looser and fluffier.

The Eclaire Affair is more coconut-milky with a little more caramel. Denser and heavier.

What you like better in the end is a matter of taste. My number 1 remains the Lattafa Eclaire, but I don't regret buying the Eclaire Affair.

In terms of sillage, I find the Eclaire Lattafa more intense. I can't judge the longevity yet, as it's fresh out of the box.

Yes, it's flowery
I think the bottle is beautiful and so is the packaging. So I actually want to love the fragrance. Whether I can do that remains to be seen. I'm not really into floral fragrances, but every now and then I fancy one. This one is nice, but somehow it lacks that little something extra. I had hoped that the dewdrop, passion flower and vanilla would bring a bit of atmosphere to the room. A subsequent look at Google tells me that passion flowers are more synonymous with calm - my mistake. I just feel "yes, it's flowery and nothing more". Kind of the usual floral scents, I can't identify any particular flower. So we'll be patient, let it rest and spray it again soon, when the rain disappears and the sun is back. Perhaps the right mood will be there then.

The first conclusion: If you're looking for floral: This one definitely works. It's not annoying. Clearly perceptible and lasts right away, even on dry skin.
