Overwhelmingly Synthetic

I want to love this, and I do for the first fifteen minutes. It opens and really does smell like a mango that just came out of the freezer. Upon dry down the mango is lost yet the fragrance never really develops. There is a sharp, synthetic note I can’t attribute to any of the listed notes which is borderline headache inducing. It is an incredibly strong and long lasting perfume and was a blind buy for me. In my personal opinion it is more masculine leaning.

Realistic mango with some spice

First spray out of the bottle was amazing. You're hit with such a realistic mango that you'd think you just took a bite out of one. Then the rhubarb, licorice, and ginger spice comes in, complementing the mango. As it dries down, I started to notice the florals a bit more. Towards the end, the vanilla and musk are present on my skin.

Overall this is an great pick for any spring or summer leisure activity. It'll just put a smile on your face the first time you spray it. Inoffensive, cheap, and unique to my collection.

More shower gel than mango

I had hoped for a fruity-fresh summer fragrance from Mango Ice, but was unfortunately disappointed. Immediately after spraying it on, an artificially sweet mango is perceptible for a very brief moment, after which the fragrance completely fades for me.

What remains is an intrusive, almost penetrating shower gel accord that reminds me strongly of Lail Maleki by Lattafa, but without its depth or development. Instead of tropical lightness, you get a squeaky chemical cocktail that sticks to your nose and just won't go away.

I wouldn't even recommend this fragrance to teenagers. For me personally, it's a complete miss. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the God of Fire.

The fruitier Feu

I can't compare the fragrance to God of Fire, but I can compare it to Vulcan Feu. The Mango ICE has great longevity and sillage. I personally like it better than Vulcan Feu, as it is a little more fruity. Otherwise, it is very similar: a green mango, great spices and ginger. Thank goodness I don't detect any licorice, although it is listed. For women who might find the Feu a little too masculine, I would advise them to try the Mango ICE. This fruitiness is great. But it is still a good choice for men too. It's incredible what you get here for the price. It is beautifully balanced and a great summer fragrance that is not too sweet but refreshing, fruity and tangy.

The packaging is also great. Pretty bottle, great packaging with a description of the fragrance inside.
