Only now and then
The Eau des Baux perfume by L'Occitane is not a scent I could wear every day. It has too little pep for that, despite the pepper. But now and then ... the sweet combination of pepper, incense, cypress, and tonka is just right!

Signature Scent from Ireland - reissued
The Signature Scent by Pomp&Co is based on the history of an Irish barbershop in Dublin, which in the 1940s mixed its hair pomades with various fragrances, providing its customers not only with a nice haircut but also an unmistakable scent as they left the barbershop. Decades later, his grandchildren took over the barbershop and came up with the idea of reissuing their grandfather's once very popular Signature Scent through a perfumer. Great idea and so much for storytelling! :)

Upon spraying, the top note of lavender is most prominent, followed by bergamot and lime. Immediately after, sandalwood with amber is strongly present. In the drydown, it has a pleasantly subtle sweet-smoky character. In my opinion, the sandalwood used is not of the sweet variety, but rather the more austere one. I personally cannot perceive any musk.

It is not a complex scent, but those who enjoy small niche fragrances and the scent components will not be disappointed by this fragrance nonetheless. This brand also offers a hair pomade with the same scent, a great idea if you want to combine both.

Woody, spicy, fresh
... this is how I would best describe the STRAWANZA fragrance for me. Since I also come from Austria, I just had to try this scent, and I was not disappointed. The Eau de Cologne has a unique character due to the special blend with menthol that I have not encountered before. It is definitely a very masculine fragrance. Right after spraying, the top notes of pepper, clove, menthol, and patchouli are very noticeable. Following that, musk and cedarwood are very present. In the drydown, the scent develops into a pleasantly warm spiciness on the skin. I can perceive the fragrance well for about 6 hours, which is quite okay for an Eau de Cologne. The packaging box is very stylish, and the spray bottle itself was additionally wrapped with green tissue paper and golden cord with great care. The price is acceptable for a small brand where the product is not produced industrially but filled by hand.

Perfectly matches my beard care
I have been using the beard oil and beard balm from Ricki Hall Booze & Baccy for many years. When the Eau de Parfum was released, I was very excited about it. At first, I was surprised that the scent of the perfume does not directly correspond to the beard care products. But: once you wear them together, the two scents complement each other perfectly. I would classify the scent itself as vanilla/tobacco, and the top note reminds me of Bay Rum, but it dissipates quite quickly.

Unisex fragrance in a stylish bottle
I love the scent of Royall Vetiver Noir. It has a very floral note, but the vetiver also plays a significant role as a heart and base note. Unfortunately, the fragrance only lasts for a few hours and fades relatively quickly. For an Eau de Toilette, that's almost too short. The bottle with the spray nozzle is made with high quality. In my opinion, the fragrance is absolutely wearable for both men and women.
