Refreshing lychee floral
I really like this! The opening is a sweet lemon floral, (The citrus is lemon, not bergamot as listed above.) The solar facet might be derived from pink pepper, which is never sharp nor prominent. The dry down is lemony lychee rose floral. I'm not getting pistachio per se; rather, more of a light, nutty wood. The ambroxan is well played and melts into the base notes. I find this refreshing, especially after a shower. Given this is a fruity freshie, the longevity is considerable. I'll explore other fragrances from this house, and for the price, this is a well blended fragrance.

I'm not the target audience
I can taste this fragrance in the back of my throat and back of my nose. I have two other BDK scents I love, being Gris Charnel and Tabac Rose. Now just because I don't like it, that is not the fragrance's fault. To me, this fits into the 'smells like cosmetics' category, of which there are many fans. But I am not.

Edited to add, the scent smells a bit muddy to me, meaning a bit jumbled and dense. It's rated highly here, so I'm not going to rate it terribly. Obviously, I'm missing individual notes others are enjoying.

Leather for those who do not like leather
Leather is a difficult note for me, as is patchouli and vetiver (and all three are here), and yet, I really like this. The Strawberry of the title is misleading, especially to gourmand lovers. There is no strawberry. But, there is something evocative of strawberry in the opening. I can’t for the life of me explain what would create that impression. This a pleasant cooler weather scent, favoring autumn, especially for those who don’t go for chestnut or smokey spice. For the record, the jasmine doesn’t come across as prominent, at least to my nose.

I received this in a swap for Prada Paradoxe. It’s nothing I’d select for myself, but it’s an easy wear with decent longevity. Plus the magnetic top practically pulls out of your hand, closing with a satisfying clack.

Raspberry with staying power
First scent is a Raspberry and strawberry with a slight pink pepper fizz (although it’s not pink pepper. Maybe it's the mild peppery quality of *cyclamen which has a pepper quality to it. This note remains subtle throughout.)

After 5 minutes, there’s sweet green with a little tang. Rhubarb can be tricky for me; I don't always like it, but here I do.

15 min: something tart but light. There’s cherry thinged raspberry in the background. I’m not sure how this projects. I think it's about arm's length. The amber wood begins to surface. It’s woody, slightly sweet, and resinous (but NOT incense or smokey). Powdery rose cloud forms.

The first hour and fruit notes are hanging in there~ not like candy. Just a pulpy ripe fruit blend, a raspberry with depth. Rose along with a sweet resinous amber wood. Still a little peppery.

3-4 hours: still fruity, a fresh, warm, resinous fruit. That light peppery quality is there, too, along with a warm base of amber wood. From here on, the fragrance remains basically the same. The prick of pepper suits the rose nicely.

6 hours and the raspberry is there and not candy unlike Room 1015 Wavechild.

For a fruit, the staying power is of the raspberry is amazing. This is raspberry with a delicious tang.

Overall, I think this is a well crafted fragrance for a good price.

*According to Alpha Aromatics, cyclamen is sometimes described as clean, fragile, rose or lily-tinged with the slightest nuance of pepper. If anyone understand cyclamen in fragrance, please comment.

Greeny fresh rose
For rose lovers, Atomic Rose, as the name suggests, isn’t sweet or cloying. There's an electric zing of green bergamot. This a mysterious, unusual, sexy ode to rose. For such simple notes, this scent feels complex yet translucent. Longevity is great, and silage is adjustable based on the number of sprays. Full bottle worthy, even at the price. (Online discounters sometimes offer a significant price cut.) Even if rose isn't your thing, this might be worth taking a chance on. I could almost swear this has a touch of glabanum because of the zest and greeny feel; Floral Street's Neon Rose feels like a sibling in it's unabashed boldness. The punchiness softens in the dry down. Interestingly, I'm not finding the powder some others mention. Unisex. Apparently this is love or hate; sample before you take the plunge.
