Raspberry with staying power
First scent is a Raspberry and strawberry with a slight pink pepper fizz (although it’s not pink pepper. Maybe it's the mild peppery quality of *cyclamen which has a pepper quality to it. This note remains subtle throughout.)

After 5 minutes, there’s sweet green with a little tang. Rhubarb can be tricky for me; I don't always like it, but here I do.

15 min: something tart but light. There’s cherry thinged raspberry in the background. I’m not sure how this projects. I think it's about arm's length. The amber wood begins to surface. It’s woody, slightly sweet, and resinous (but NOT incense or smokey). Powdery rose cloud forms.

The first hour and fruit notes are hanging in there~ not like candy. Just a pulpy ripe fruit blend, a raspberry with depth. Rose along with a sweet resinous amber wood. Still a little peppery.

3-4 hours: still fruity, a fresh, warm, resinous fruit. That light peppery quality is there, too, along with a warm base of amber wood. From here on, the fragrance remains basically the same. The prick of pepper suits the rose nicely.

6 hours and the raspberry is there and not candy unlike Room 1015 Wavechild.

For a fruit, the staying power is of the raspberry is amazing. This is raspberry with a delicious tang.

Overall, I think this is a well crafted fragrance for a good price.

*According to Alpha Aromatics, cyclamen is sometimes described as clean, fragile, rose or lily-tinged with the slightest nuance of pepper. If anyone understand cyclamen in fragrance, please comment.

Perfumey juice
For a perfume called Juice, this is quite floral and woodsy. Especially in the opening it smells a lot like a typical fizzy fruitchouli from the 2010s, not so much like any juice I have ever tried. Now don't get me wrong, the raspberry and strawberry notes are definitely very noticeable, but this is more perfumey than mouthwatering. I find it quite sharp at first, especially on my skin (less so on a paper blotter).
I know this has amberwood and not patchouli, but it has the same sparkly sharpness that a very cleaned up patch would have.

In the drydown the scent turns more rosy and a bit Delina-esque, but as a big fan of Delina, this doesn't even come close to being as good.

I find it interesting that rhubarb is listed as a base note. Usually fruity notes are top notes, sometimes heart notes, but not bases. In this case it's true though, I can really only smell the tartness of rhubarb after the scent has been on for a while. I wonder how they did this.

All in all, I don't hate this, but I don't really like it either. There is no shortage of fragrances with berries and roses, and it's hard to make this classic combo smell awful, but there are so many takes on it that are better than Juice. It's a skippable scent in my opinion.

Raspberry compote with florals and woodiness
Day 1 of trying out all the Juice fragrance variations that Commodity recently released. I was pretty hyped to get my hands on three decants from a trusted Facebook fragrance group member. I decided to start with the OG to get a feel of how it would turn out on my skin before trying out the other two variations.

So far, it's a pretty nice experience! It's very similar to Angel Nova Eau de Parfum where the raspberry is the star on my skin. It's equal parts sweet and tart like a raspberry compote. I can feel the strawberry behind adding another dose of juicy fruitiness, but it's very faint compared to the rasberries. The scent is on the darker and deep side of fragrances than on the light and airy side of fruity perfumes. The absence of a synthetic burn is where this one outshines Mugler's interpretation. I never got any of that overly sugary, synthetic and sharp note that Mugler gave me (which is really a good thing). As the perfume moves on, the tart fruitiness remains as roses and cyclamen start to come up underneath it all. Roses are sweet and carnal, deep on their floral tone. Later on, amberwood starts to come through with a deep woody and ambery facet that makes the perfume warmer. The base notes are what makes the perfume unisex (maybe even a little bit more masculine-leaning). It ends up fading nicely as a fruity, floral and woody fragrance on my skin.

I'm still on the fence on whether I want to add a bottle to my collection. This might be because Mugler's Angel Nova has traumatized me into never wanting to have a raspberry-centric perfume on my skin or maybe because raspberries aren't a fruit I want to necessarily wear on me. Either way, I really do recommend getting this one over Mugler's perfume as they've removed the synthetic note in Commodity's version. It's a scent that would probably be best worn during colder temperatures as the fragrance is on the heavier side of the spectrum, but it's still a very lovely fruity, floral fragrance!

EDIT: After having tested all three, I can confidently say that in order I prefered Juice-, Juice+ and then Juice. I won't be adding any of them to my collection as they haven't stirred anything particular in me (and two of them reminded me way too much of Angel Nova), but they're still lovely additions to a collection!

Berry Pulp
This is a review for the Expressive version of this fragrance.

This is the smell of the triple berry syrup that you pour onto your pancakes. The jam you make in summer from the berries and rhubarb in your garden. Its dark, pulpy, juicy, sweet and a little tart. I say dark in the sense that it is rich and decadent, not that it is gothic. Its a great fruity summer fragrance addition because its one of the few that doesn't smell like a cocktail beverage.

My only complaint is the amberwood note, its become more and more prevalent in new releases and I personally find it to be a harsh and generic dry down note. I think it would have been nice if they went with a different wood note. But for the most part its barely noticeable.

The projection is good but not cloying and the longevity is over 6 hours, which is what I expect from this version. I do say go lightly with the sprays until you find the amount that works for you because I feel that over spraying this perfume on a hot summer day can choke you out. the variety in sizes makes the price point very appealing, its $145 for 100ml and $28 for 10ml.

simple strawberry and rose
Vibrant, juicy strawberry and rose. A teeny tiny bit woody, but it's simple, straightforward. Really nice! Definitely not something I need, as there are other fruity floral perfumes I prefer much more. This also has a really well done strawberry note. Balanced, lovely, and a little artificial which always feels kind of whimsical to me!

Smells just like actual fruit punch juice. I don’t really pick up too much floral from this, just sugary juice. Fun for layering

It opens with a really nice and juicy strawberry and raspberry + rhubarb, but it actually dries down to mostly rose on me

Deep, juicy raspberry + rose. Green, underripe fruit in dry-down with a bit of white musk. Wish it kept the opening.

Too masculine leaning for me. Not bright and fresh, far warmer and deeper than I was hoping.

This to me opens just the same as the Burberry her eau de toilette, the green one. This dry down is much more raspberry, sour and jammy.

Very sweet start and on my skin, came down to a floral musk. If I was 20 years younger, I think it would work but a bit too young for me.
