You had ONE job

Vanilla Vibes, you had one job. For a fragrance with vanilla right there in the name, there is a shocking lack of it in the execution. Instead, it is a humdrum aquatic, with a sour, salty marine aspect and the barest whisper of sandy musk. I hate to use the word “boring” because that’s more of a judgment than a description, but I think in this case it’s perfectly warranted. I mean if this were a person, it wouldn’t even have a face. As a matter of fact, this is that same faceless person in a 50-year-old mermaid suit at Weeki Watchee barely submerged underwater and doing a terrible job entertaining children, and they’re actually so bored themselves they are texting on their phones instead of swimming and if you look closely you can see their toes poking through one of their fins. And you know what else? They smell nothing like vanilla at all

No Vanilla Vibes

I was tricked! This is yet another sunscreen scent. I depict no vanilla, mostly a salty coconut in the opening, even though coconut is not listed in the notes. There is a slight sweetness that may be more benzoin than vanilla. I did get a very faint whiff of pickle from the sandalwood when I inhaled deeply & close to the skin, but fortunately, it didn't last long. As it sits, it acquires more of a salty-mineral smell which then combines with a powdery, soft floral before drying down to a synthetic, salty-musk. Longevity is good, as I can still smell it after wearing it for 6+ hours with only one spray to the throat, but I'm really wishing it wasn't. They should have named it Salty Beach Vibes. I’ll just stick to wearing sunscreen when I want to smell like sunscreen. Plus, less $, less cancer.

Rubbery vanilla

There`s something very plasticky about this vanilla, like the smell that greets you when you get to the beach and you have to inflate your air mattress by mouth, or when you have to blow air into your neck pillow before a flight. It`s extremely rubbery and synthetic and ruins the vanilla and orchid notes for me. I tried this immediately after wearing Flora Gorgeous Orchid because many reviewers mentioned the similarities, but once again, I think whoever says these are similar has probably not tried both fragrances, but just looked at the pyramid of notes and concluded that since they share notes in common, they must be alike.

There are some houses that I simply dislike; this gun-wielding Juliette, The Free Orange Plantation, and Maison Margiella, just to name a few disappointments. I`ve yet to sumble upon a perfume from any of these that I can enjoy and appreciate.

Salty vanilla bliss

Vanilla-forward scents aren't normally my bag, but in this is the exception.

The saltiness beautifully balances out the soft, creamy vanilla and prevents it from becoming too cloying or heavy. It’s like vanilla took a beach holiday, and now has warm salty skin and faint echoes of coastal wood in their hair.

If you’re looking for a gourmand vanilla with beast mode projection, this probably isn’t for you. But if you want a cosy, comforting vanilla that sits close to the skin and whispers about the sea, give it a try.

Not for me, gross

This is a scrubber for me. Cant speak to the longevity cos I sprayed it on my wrist, took one sniff and nearly hurled so I scrubbed it immediately. This is why you buy samples people!

Absolutely rancid and smells like bad breath and a manky old dishwasher! A few other frags smell like this to me and the only thing they have in common is 'musk' so I guess whichever specific musk/ingredient used in this and Born to be Unforgettable - By Kilian, Commodity Moss AND Magnolia, and She was an Anomaly - ELDO smells rank to my nose.

Supposed to be a salty vanilla and coconut, I just get something gross.

Take with a pinch of salt ;) No offense meant if you like it and its prob my skin chemistry throwing it off.
