The truth probably lies somewhere in between.

Anyone who knows Justin knows that he counts TF and BR540 among his favorite fragrances, which leads to clear, undeniable parallels with Orodion.

Starting with the packaging: It is clearly recognizable what the inspiration behind it was. Aside from the shape, one could also think that Oud Wood Intense was sent. Clean box, kept in the colors of the bottle with a golden metal plate. This is something to positively highlight in the price segment of Orodion. The bottle is, in my opinion, an upgraded Rituals, fits well in the hand, and the weight of the bottle and cap feels very premium. Anyone who unboxed JF's Office for Men back then knows what it looks like when no thought is given to packaging and bottle.

The second parallel is the similarity to BR540: At the beginning, one definitely perceives a distinct sweetness and immediately gets the BR540 DNA, which somehow (at least so far) runs through the current scent development. Here, however, I would say it is a bit more floral and sweeter. Also clearly noticeable are saffron and violet. What I am still waiting for are the woody notes that were supposed to make it dark, rich, and heavy according to the video statement.
All in all, a very straightforward progression so far (2 hours since first use), the announced transformations of the scent after a certain time are non-existent.

In principle, I believe that €100 is absolutely reasonable for the presentation and quality of the fragrance.
That he tries to merge what he likes in his first fragrance, I think cannot be condemned. Just as little that he does not reinvent the wheel with his first fragrance, but rather chooses the safe option. The DNA used will certainly resonate well with the broad masses, especially the younger target group he largely has. However, I also don't think he wants to go niche or capture the Parfumo crowd with this. Perfume enthusiasts will probably rather fall asleep when smelling the fragrance after Liwa, Cloud, and Co. It has simply been done too often. For me, it's somewhere between the praises of a fanboy with 10 points and the influencer bashing with 3 points. A healthy middle ground, no more and no less.
