Dear Gold, could you tell me please, what kind of bottle is in your picture now?

Thanks for your reply to my picture with the guitar.

I was planning to review PHI last week, but got busy with other things...you know how it goes!) had all the grand kids here this weekend, so hoping to get it done this week sometime! I won't even sniff it till I do it in peace ! I am really happy for the opportunity to try it! Don't be too fast to gift it away yet, you might come back to it!

Yes, I'm back. How're you?

Thank you so much for your nice compliment for my picture. It means so much to me. :-)

I'm glad you're enjoying Guipure and Silk. The bottle is so pretty.

Thanks for your review of my review of Anne Klein II. I know it's listed as in production, but I've not seen it for sale since the late 90's.

Thanks for your comment on my photo of my cat, Leela. She's amazingly sweet too.

Hi Gold, I've never seen any Jeanne d'Urfe or Jeanne Arthes in a shop anywhere in the UK. I've bought all of minr from fragrancemad.com.

I forgot to say that you won't like Langley by Ted Baker. It smells like Fire and Ice Cool.
AmySourbuttsAmySourbutts 11 years ago
Thanks for the reply to my review of Fire and Ice for Men. It's far better than Fire and Ice Cool, but the original Fire and Ice is one of my favourites.

Ted Baker XO Extraordinary is quite good, and you can find it cheaply at Superdrug and Boots occasionally. He has some nice fragrances for men too.

As for Fidji, I tend to assume if a fragrance has been around for awhile that I should seek out as vintage a version as I can get. I've been looking on Ebay.

I tend to prefer older perfumes. I like some that are newer, especially from the 80s and 90s, but the 40s, 50s and 60s are my favourite decades for fragrances. I like some that are even older obviously, but even the mass market stuff was nicer then than now.

Thanks for the comment on Perceive review. It seems like we have similar taste it perfume.
AmySourbuttsAmySourbutts 11 years ago
Thanks for the comment on Xia Xiang. If Fidji smells anything like it, I need to get some.
AmySourbuttsAmySourbutts 11 years ago
Thanks for your kind words. Sadly, I've not even smelled Fidji, but it sounds divine. Germany is equally nice, just less exotic.

That is one of my favourite photos, but it helps that my hubby is a great photographer, and my cat is just so sweet. She purrs more than any cat I've ever known.

I'm thinking that's going to happen here with Timeless. I'm upset about reformulation though.

I enjoy your reviews a lot too. Your collection is amazing. I'm so jealous.

Sincerely,

Amy

That's an interesting question you've raised, Gold: whether there is any uncharted olfactory territory left. If so, would a perfume located there be beautiful--or even wearable?
AmySourbuttsAmySourbutts 11 years ago
Hi, thanks for your reply to my review of Timeless. Basenotes lists it as discontinued, and I've not seen it on the website for ages. It might have only been discontinued in the UK, and it’s available elsewhere. http://www.avonconnects.co.uk/message/1305359

Wow, Fiji sounds lovely.

Beautiful profile picture and what a treasure of fragrance photos; my favorite is the owl bottle
