I'm done
Without any detours, this fragrance catapults you olfactorily to the beach bar in the Caribbean, where you drink your Piña Colada from coconut shells!

Simply insane!
With the first spray, the tart-sour lime envelops you, followed by the very natural coconut that stays in the background for a short time.

10 minutes later, everything comes together; the rum, or rather cane sugar, the coconut, and lime create a wonderfully creamy Piña Colada without feeling alcoholic.

The sweetness really reminds me a bit of Nimm 2 candies, but it becomes increasingly creamier and more pleasant.
In the very decent sillage, I predominantly recognize coconut, exactly what I wanted.

I was/am just as shockingly in love with Nishane Fan Your Flames, but this one is significantly heavier and more suitable for late summer/fall/winter due to the tobacco.

A blind buy that I do not regret, and finally, I can stop searching for my summer fragrance 2022.

Once I was 7 Years younger …
Yes, that's how life is; sometimes we smell, taste, or see something that we absolutely want to possess.

But even if we had the opportunity, something always holds us back.

That's how it is for me with Intoxicated.

About 7 years ago, I worked in a luxury hotel in the Black Forest and bought some random Axe deodorant, which I also used as "perfume" at the time.

I loved the scent, or rather the smell, so much back then and thought to myself, "How cool would it be if there were a perfume of this?"

Shortly thereafter, a guest walked past me during the evening service, trailing a cloud of that very scent behind him.
Of course, I immediately approached him with the words: "I have a deodorant that smells just like this" - sorry for that.

But he still gave me the answer I wanted to hear. It was A*Men by Thierry Mugler.

Well, now I knew, was ready to buy, and absolutely wanted to get it.
But it didn’t happen; something held me back.

However, it remained hidden for years in a dusty drawer in my attic, and the scent was stored away.

Now, 7 years later, I read about Intoxicated and its similarity to A*Men.

Since I was ordering samples anyway, I quickly added the Kilian to my cart.

When I finally sprayed it on the test strip, I immediately felt the vibe of that past time. It had an incredible allure for me, just like back then.

So I applied it to my skin.
I indulged in memories, smelling myself like a madman every few seconds and just felt good.

Maybe I should briefly describe what I smell.

In the opening, it’s an absolute cardamom bomb.
Almost piercing, it throws itself around, while cinnamon and caramel follow behind like an aging but loyal dog trailing its owner.

This changes little; cinnamon and caramel catch up a bit and now walk "at heel" next to the cardamom. However, it still sets the tone. And that’s how it stays, which I don’t find so bad at all.

What holds me back from buying it, though, is this feeling that I’m wearing a deodorant, because everything started with the deodorant back then.

However, I still want to thank this little time travel and will now let the remaining Intoxicated pass away in peace.

The Search for the "Click"
I am still relatively new to the "game," at least when it comes to niche perfumes, and I've only been on Parfumo for a few days.

When I stumbled upon Mac Gebauer through my long-standing passion for watches, it was only a matter of time before he would also inspire me with perfume.

This has indeed been the case for some time now, and I have tested many "hype beasts" of the fragrance scene using samples: PdM, Xerjoff, MG (of course), Roja, TF, Creed, etc.

Based on the reviews, I had always hoped for a wow effect with these scents. Unfortunately, that has yet to happen.

Don't get me wrong, most of the perfumes were good, some even very good.

I also blind bought Oud Wood in a 30ml bottle and have not regretted it. But I don't need more than that.

My nose may not be the most trained, but through my love for specialty coffee, I am able to dissect the scent and make associations, even if I can't always concretely describe what it is.

With each sample, I waited for the moment, no, I hoped that it would simply "click."

Then the decant of TF Tobacco Vanille arrived along with PdM Carlisle through the window.

Carlisle was not for me, although I liked the scent itself; it just didn't suit me.

When I sprayed Tobacco Vanille on the test strip, a slightly piercing smell hit my nose, which I associate with pepper, along with a synthetic vanilla note that tried to take over but failed just short of the goal. The pepper was simply too intense.
Unfortunately, there was no trace of tobacco.

Disappointed, I set the strip aside, as it just didn't "click" this time either.

10 or maybe 15 minutes later, I picked up the strip again. It clicked.

An indescribable feeling washed over me, and I tried to absorb every scent trail so I wouldn't have to share it with my girlfriend.

I had never lingered so closely and for so long on a test strip as I did with this one. I would have preferred to inhale only Tobacco Vanille instead of air.

The pepper had disappeared, the vanilla became increasingly natural, and it danced a Cha-Cha with the wonderfully present tobacco note.

So simple and yet so extraordinary. It had to go on my skin. This time, I overlooked the piercing opening because I now knew what force would soon embrace me.

To me, it smells like a creamy, mild, and unlit cigar, with a wrapper of
Bourbon vanilla.
Nothing more and nothing less.

Then comes the longevity and sillage. After one to two hours, it is so pleasant to wear that it surrounds me constantly but never screams: "Here I am!"

After three sprays, my work is done; I don't want or need more. It's enough to get through the day, even if it becomes very close after 5-6 hours.

However, when we were at the swimming pool the next day, I somehow felt like it was still there. Maybe just my imagination, I thought, and I asked my girlfriend if my neck smelled like vanilla.

She confirmed it, and with that, my buying decision for my first "click" was made.

I hope you enjoyed my first review and wish you a fragrant day!
