Tea in a bottle
The long list of citruses in the head notes would suggest that this is a citrus scent. In reality, it mainly smells like tea, specifically tea that you buy in plastic bottles. Tea with some rhubarb. The projection is heavy at the opening to the point of harshness, but it fades fast, and the scent becomes more complex. The green fresh sour aspect dominating initially takes a step back and the musky side with floral and woody notes comes forward. I would say the fragrance leans male due to the muskiness.

Oltremare Bois 1920 dream journey into infinity
The bottle is a statement for this fragrance. Deep sea blue, for me a symbol of infinity and freedom, the view into the distance, the blue of the sea blurring with the blue of the sky. Is there an end? No, our spirit does not know infinity and neither does the sky. For that the wind carries me into this infinite distance. Do you know the dream of flying? The feeling of taking off like a feather, like a bird. Everything becomes small and insignificant. This lightness, I can escape from everything, I can achieve everything...
A great fresh note that is for me here composed of lemon, orange and bergamot. In addition this maritime spice by juniper, which is woody and fresh at the same time, as well as a fresh and tart rhubarb note.
But there are also floral notes that remain discreet and unobtrusive and do not weigh down the maritime freshness of the fragrance.
I get lost in this smell. I just feel carefree and free. As if I am standing on a cliff, the salt air blows around me, the sound of the sea carries me away...like a meditation, a dream journey...

Blue tea
I honestly don't know how best to describe this fragrance. For me, it really is one of the best fragrances for summer. This pleasant freshness paired with various teen notes. And it fits so well, after smelling it, I was blown away.

I wouldn't have thought that this combination of so many fruits and red earthy tea notes would work so pleasantly. For me, this is olfactory art to which I take my hat off. It's not a beast, but that's not what the fragrance is supposed to be. It's about refreshing you and bringing you down, and it definitely does that. I can only recommend Oltremare.

A fragrance for tea note fans
In my opinion, the Oltremare is just really beautiful.
The perfect area of use is of course the summer or for a vacation in the warmth.
A great tea fragrance with rhubarb and citrus elements.

The fragrance starts directly with this fine tea note. It comes across like a fruit tea.
Plus this great rhubarb note and the citrusy accords.
It simply harmonizes perfectly together!
Over time, a pleasantly fruity juniper berry is added.

Fresh, fruity, slightly green and pleasantly citrusy.
This combination will appeal to all people who are fans of summer fragrances. In addition, Oltremare simply has that certain sophistication.

Unfortunately, it is a little "thin" over time. As is often the case with summer fragrances, this one doesn't last very long either. The sillage could definitely be better too.
At the beginning, it is really great, but relatively soon it no longer projects strongly.
On the one hand, however, this is completely fine, as it is simply a fragrance for the summer.
Nevertheless, I would have liked a little more power.
Despite everything, I am happy to have it in my collection.

To the fans of summer fragrances and tea accords:
Please give it a try.
It could be worth it!

Oltremare : a journey overseas
First of all: describing this fragrance was no easy task. Because I don't know of anything comparable from the part of the perfume world that I have been able to get to know so far.
However, its clear, deep blue bottle with the solid, golden cap makes a visual statement that should give you a certain idea of what to expect. The expectations were completely exceeded (at least for me).

The first thing that comes to mind is the following:

Sparkling, fruity freshness on the one hand
Soothing teen notes on the other
In between, a light aquatic and blue - (subtle) green freshness

Oltremare translates from Italian as "overseas".
If you let that sink in, the name really is a brilliant choice.
Bottega Italiana Spigo (BOIS) 1920 is a small family business based in Florence, Italy and has become one of my favorite niche houses. I find it fascinating how BOIS 1920 always manages to bring Italian charm into a bottle.
In addition to countless specialties, Italy is known for its sun-ripened, delicious citrus fruits and its beautiful views, whether inland or by the sea And that's where our (aromatic) journey begins.
We experience the wonderfully invigorating citrus and fruitiness on the one hand, the calming effect of tea and subtle green notes on the other - and the aquatic, fresh blue "in between", if you like.
Accordingly, Oltremare not only embodies the land on the other side of the pond (presumably South America due to the mate tea) but also a wonderful journey there.

For me, Oltremare is a fragrance of contrasts. At the same time, however, it is absolutely round and harmonious. I always think of yin and yang.

This fragrance has a relatively linear progression and doesn't change much on the skin - which I very much welcome in this case, because I find Oltremare simply beautiful from the very first second. Only this tingling phenomenon diminishes somewhat towards the end, and it becomes even calmer, woodier.

I would describe Oltremare as one of the top 10 fragrances that will never leave my collection, because for me it is so positive, so bright and so unique.

But back to the topic: what does Oltremare actually smell like?
When you spray on Oltremare, you get a load of sparkling, sparkling, fresh citrus notes, paired with a wonderful acidity and fruitiness of rhubarb, which perfectly complement the gentle, calm radiance of tea and a slightly aquatic, blue freshness from the beginning to the end of the fragrance. Ambroxan is certainly also involved here, as the fragrance pushes forward very strongly, especially in the first 1-2 hours, and has a very strong radiance. After this time, the sillage lasts for a further 2 hours, after which it slowly fades towards the skin. Longevity for this freshie is fully in order with easily 8h. Still easily perceptible on clothing the next day.

I recommend everyone to take a look at BOIS 1920 and their creations, especially the Oltremare - an absolute dream for the summer.

I am not fond of aquatic scents but this one is well balanced with a tart rhubarb, green, citric and salty opening. In the base, white musk.

Citrusy opening quickly settles into dominant red tea, with hints of rhubarb and florals on a soft musky-marine base. Nice, unusual freshie.

Juicy blue but very herbal with quite prominent mate note, which makes the scent profile unique but also a bit old-school.
