Romantic
For me, the fragrance was the epitome of romance back in the 80s. And when I look at the times again today to mind, I can only confirm. And although several decades have passed, I still like the very much.

The start is so beautiful floral, garden carnation and jasmine I smell immediately out, ylang-ylang and neroli as well, fresh and delicately sweet but not pungent. In general, I feel a pleasant-warm-soft feeling in the heart when I smell and wear this perfume. From bergamot and the citrus notes comes with me nothing at all, so I can not classify the as Chypre.

The woody notes can only be guessed, I also find this only very subtle and coherent and can actually find nothing woody, and if then only amber or sandalwood - soft, velvety, cuddly, just melting gently, comes perhaps from honey?

The cool severity, which this lady whose name the perfume carries, radiates, fits my opinion so not at all to the fragrance. The flacon is actually me for it also too black. I think a
friendlier color would have fit better. But that's just my personal opinion and can be refuted gladly by others.

You all a beautiful, romantic Sunday evening

P.S. Please do not misunderstand, I like PP very much and the elegance that PP exudes is very sublime, (I mean now the WOMAN), only I like the black of the flacon not so. But that is rather a minor matter, gell :-)

Pride and prejudice
Frankly, I do not know neither like clover seed nor like mimosa smell, from the rose I notice only a little bit and tuberose also does not come so superficially.

And yet: the fragrance is extremely floral. Although it is assigned to the CHYPRE direction, which is true, but the floral direction determines the fragrance. Really funny, where I think you can not smell out flowers individually. At least I can not.
This fragrance left me confused at first and it took a while until I could wear it, but then he caught me and was my daily companion.

Meanwhile, I just have too many fragrances, so I had neglected the a little. But whenever it becomes a little autumnal, he comes back to mind and today I wear him with pride.

I could imagine that the ladies described by Jane Austen in her books, possibly (if it had already existed at that time) have worn this fragrance.

He has something so sublime, noble, which actually belongs in another century :-)

Exotic
I have never liked a new perfume so much right away as Florabotanica by Balenciaga.
At first I thought that this was a completely new fragrance, but then I saw that the already exists since 2012.

It was a blind buy and I don't remember exactly what or who advised me to buy it.
Well, anyway, the package arrived at the end of July. We were just sitting on the terrace, the weather was great, very hot, so the postman (in A =postman) arrived, handed over the package. Among other things, there was just this perfume, sprayed on and immediately there was a WOW, what is THAT?

I could not initially elicit what smelled so good here. But it smelled, smelled, just wonderful. Later I came then on it that it was rose with mint, but only when I had read here the
Ingredients had read. So this combination I have not smelled in the form before and I really have to say, I was on it to betray my beloved Chanel Cristalle :-),
since I thought, this here will now my favorite fragrance.
But that is not so, the two fragrances can not really compare. Cristalle is and remains my great love.
Only: Florabotanica awakens in me a longing for a far journey, in distant lands where opulent flowers bloom, where exotic fruits grow, where the sun burns hot all year round, where the sea roars wildly, where green forests stretch endlessly...

I feel all this when I spray the fragrance. It has something "different" that is hard to describe, a unique combination, it brings me to daydreams that I never had before. He is unique.

Not only for men
Where my soft spot for spicy "man scents" comes from, I can't say.
Maybe it stems from the fact that in the 70s and 80s still many so-called women's fragrances did not have this sweet touch and I was therefore already shaped as a teenager on it.

And it happened that I strolled around several years ago in the perfumery, thinking of nothing bad, and there: suddenly a fragrance came to my nose (a lady had sprayed the shortly before), I sniffed like a sniffer dog, and what I smelled there, was fabulous.
A very spicy, woody scent flowed towards me, combined with something fresh, which probably came from the lemon or apple, paired with the usual suspects, such as sandalwood, oak moss and this typical "cedric", I would like to call it, which I did not know at the time in such a beautiful combination.

It had something very elegant, warm-spicy about it, which immediately drew me in. Also a little patchouli came into play, but not the musty, but a finer timbe, perhaps also in conjunction with the spices listed here, it was almost magical, if you can call it that.

I now had to know quickly what it was and asked the saleswoman about it, who informed me that it was Boss Number One. At that time still the version with the vertical strokes and the black cap. (I did not even know that there is a new packaging for this).

Of course, a bottle was bought immediately and at home my husband was also very taken by it and said that I had brought here times a really great fragrance. :-)

Since then, the repurchased several times and we share the and enjoy together the beautiful spicy freshness with the lavender-jasmine twist and the great spicy nuances.

Nothing to compare with
I had seen the Truffaut film version of FAHRENHEIT 451 after Ray Bradbury. The film had impressed me very much, firstly because of the story (book burnings) and secondly because of Oskar Werner, the brilliant actor, whom I like very much, also because of his great voice. Therefore, I was very taken when I had learned then, there is a perfume called "Fahrenheit".

So bought a bottle of it and applied it, and WOW, what a scent. When you read through all the ingredients, you may not believe that this is all contained. Hawthorn, nutmeg, chamomile, I don't know if that's what makes it smell the way it does.

All I can say is that you can't compare this scent to any other, at least I don't know any that compare. But of course I do not know ALL the fragrances of this world :-)

But I also don't care, because perfumes smell different for everyone anyway and the preferences are also so diverse, so you can't say what smells good and what doesn't anyway. For me, this fragrance is more something for those late summer or early fall days, like now. A pleasant mixture of masculine leather patchouli vetiver and ladylike lavender lily of the valley honeysuckle fragrance mixture.

If you want something out of the ordinary, Fahrenheit is best suited for that, but if you're looking for something lovely and sweet, you're not well advised here, you should rather leave it alone. Although, curious I would be already, if I did not know the yet :-)

Be well and a nice weekend I wish all.
