This, to me, is one of the most realistic grapefruit scents I have smelled. But not necessarily like the juicy pulp of a grapefruit, but rather like a fresh, zesty, and slightly bitter, grapefruit peel.

However, as beautiful as it is, I don't see myself reaching for it unless it is a particularly hot and humid day. On those days it is beautiful and feels incredibly refreshing! In cooler weather this scent lacks a certain depth or richness that I usually enjoy in fragrances despite vanilla being listed in the base notes (however this is more reflective of my personal preference rather than the quality of the scent).

The longevity of this scent is unfortunately awful but not unexpected given the lightness of the scent itself. Thus, IMO, while it is a beautiful fragrance, unless you absolutely love scent profiles like this, it isn't necessarily a must have!

This fragrance is worth ALL THE HYPE! This is a creamy, slightly spicy, enveloping scent that performs amazingly in cooler weather. I am a sucker for fragrances with a tea note, so I when I first sprayed this in store I absolutely fell in love.

Upon first spray the tea and cardamom notes are particularly noticeable, but the fragrance eventually dries down into a beautiful creamy, "sandalwood-y" concoction.

The longevity of this is absolutely amazing and hence I think it is absolutely worth the price. Gris Charnel projects well, but it isn't loud in the way that other fragrances can be. It has a certain subtlety about it. It is IMO also incredibly versatile - you could wear this to the office, when staying in, or even for a dinner out! Highly recommend!

I remember smelling this on a friend for the first time and being absolutely captivated by how good and CLEAN she smelled. A few days later I pulled the trigger and bought a bottle for myself. This is possibly my most worn perfume! EVER! I don't know how else to describe this other than clean and musky. To me this smells like you've just stepped out of the shower or like a clean batch of laundry that you've hung out to dry on a sunny spring day. I wear this scent to work, when running errands, before I go to sleep, even to the gym! It is so incredibly versatile and something I want to reach for when I want a "my skin but better" scent. It's also quite the compliment getter - multiple people have complimented me while wearing this.

To my nose, this scent is quite linear and doesn't necessary develop much after first spraying it, however I think that is part of its beauty. It does also sit quite close to the skin. In terms of longevity it is unfortunately disappointing, so much so that I recently bought a small version of this to keep in my purse so that I can freshen up throughout the day. It lasts a mere 2 to 3 hours on my skin before I can no longer smell it. However, given how much I love it, and given the fact that this scent often goes on sale with various online retailers, I do think it's worth what you're paying for!

This is one of the most beautiful fragrances I own! Right off the bat I catch notes of heliotrope and a little bit of zestyness from the bergamot. When sprayed it initially has this light, airy, and almost cold feeling to it. It then dries down to a very cozy (but not warm) skin scent that is quite powdery to my nose. While I feel this could be worn in any season, I believe this really shines during the spring and winter months. To me, this fragrance leans ever so slightly feminine, however I believe anyone can pull this off!

My only criticism of this is that it does not have great staying power at all. After 2 or 3 hours the scent is barely noticeable on my skin, and while this is an eau de toilette, when paying almost 200 EUR for a 50ml bottle a little bit more staying-power would be appreciated.

My conclusion: a beautiful scent if you aren't concerned about longevity or projection!

First things first! I got this fragrance late last year, and what can I say? This is absolutely beautiful and worth ALL THE HYPE! It's warm, powdery, floral with some notes of incense which I love! It also has something undeniably sexy about it. This quickly became one of my go-to fragrances for the winter. It definitely has something quite intoxicating about it! I have been stopped multiple times on the street by complete strangers asking me what perfume I'm wearing (mind you this RARELY happens to me). If you're a fan of feminine, "incensy" and dense fragrances then you will definitely enjoy this! I've tried to wear this a few times during the summer months but to my nose this perfume doesn't do well at all in the heat. So it's definitely something to save for the cooler months or evenings out!

Regarding the price - it unfortunately costs a pretty penny! However, it is EXTREMELY long lasting and projects incredibly well. I can still catch whiffs of this on my skin even after having taken a shower. And if sprayed on clothes this lasts and lasts and lasts.
