Hgscent

Sillage is an amazing scent, I liked it the first time I tested in the shop. Glad I decided to buy - its a unique scent in my collection. This in my view is a versatile scent, great for daily use or at work, more for spring/summer than winter, due to its citrus note.

This is probably a better scent than the current generation Creed SVM - given Creed's recent behavior of watering down their whole line up. There's an informative video on YouTube from a former Creed employee about this particular fragrance - if you search for 'Sillage and the downfall of Creed' you should find it.

This scent is polarising because its both familiar and unfamiliar. Its familiar enough to not be immediately disgusting, but also unfamiliar enough that you can't place exactly what it smells like.

Initially I thought of musty old books, an old library. Then I got a graveyard at night - how Count Dracula would smell like when he rose out of his coffin every night.

I didn't get the smell of a pine forest or newly chopped wood that others mention - there's not enough freshness in the scent for that.

I find this a great layering scent - it can be used to add a more intense Vetiver base note to Terre D'Hermes.
