Definitely NOT a unisex fragrance for me
I managed to get two samples here - one for myself and one for my equally perfume-crazy daughter. The fragrance package arrived yesterday, and with the summer temperatures being high, we decided to test it together in the evening.

At first, the scent is fresh and zesty. Pleasant in the heat. But what comes next... The fragrance develops into a spicy and herbal scent. For me, it is definitely NOT a unisex fragrance but, in my opinion, an absolute scent for men.

I was misled by the description "for women AND men." After every sniff on my wrist, I kept going over the fragrance pyramid with the individual notes
and jasmine and patchouli - I thought that the scent would suit me as well.

My husband asked my daughter and me, surprised, what we thought we smelled like. He also found the scent very masculine.

Surprisingly, "Replica - When The Rain Stops | Maison Margiela" has a penetrating longevity... (I would wish for that for "Replica - Lazy Sunday Morning | Maison Margiela" - but here I would have really been glad if the scent had dissipated quickly)!

Shortly after, my daughter was out biking and then went to take a shower. Even after that, the scent was still noticeable on her - and not in a weak way at all.

So, for the ladies of the house, the scent is nothing;
but I had a video call with my son in the evening, and he is already looking forward to the two samples that will soon be packed for our trip to Austria...

My Soul Soother
Through my (just like me) perfume-obsessed daughter, I really became aware of the Prada brand. The hype surrounding the fragrance released in 2022 in the triangular bottle had also reached her, and on vacation, she treated herself to a small size of it. In the perfume shop, she was also given a sample of "La Femme L'Eau | Prada," which she generously passed on to me.

I tested it and have to say: The first impression was actually quite unremarkable. The scent was so different for me, so not "punchy," so barely noticeable at the first sniff. So the sample ended up back in the odds and ends basket.

The last few days at work were quite exhausting. The office building was being renovated, and the smell of paint lingered everywhere for days. I wasn't really in the mood for a perfume scent. And then I remembered the Prada again. Because I didn't want to be completely without a scent - I would have felt somehow "naked."

And hey: I have no idea why, how, or what - but La Femme L'Eau suddenly felt so good. A real soul soother. Not too intrusive but present now and then with a fine touch. Floral/citrusy at the beginning. Then somehow woody. Hmmmm...

The sample was soon finished, and I treated myself to a bottle. Just looking at it already lifts my spirits. It feels good in the hand and looks quite elegant due to the gold and rose tones.

I'm glad I gave the fragrance a second chance.

I'm taking a companion to the office with me tomorrow
Today we had real autumn weather here with rain, wind, and everything gray. My mood wasn't exactly the best because of it. I wasted the morning, then after lunch, I jumped into the bathtub, and afterward, I had the dilemma of which fragrance to wear today... I decided on "Eve | Jil Sander." And I don't regret it.

I find the top note almost a bit "heavy" - but still beautiful. I can recognize jasmine and rose in the heart note; unfortunately, not the violets. What remains for hours and I can perceive well is patchouli.

The fragrance is my feel-good/cuddle scent. I feel cozy and secure with it. The longevity is amazing; I can still perceive the scent for hours after applying it. Therefore, 2 sprays are more than enough for me.

The bottle is kept simple, made of thick glass, and feels good in the hand. The spray button is easy to operate, and the fragrance comes out in a fine mist.

My partner's mood isn't exactly the best today either. He has been focused on a difficult project for hours. But I've noticed that he takes a deep breath every time I walk past him, and a slight smile appears on his face.

I'm already in a somewhat, um... more mature age - but I think that the fragrance can be worn by women of all ages. In my opinion, it's also suitable for the office. So far, my colleagues haven't complained, and just in case one of you is reading this: Eve will accompany me to work tomorrow. Because according to the weather report, the dreary autumn weather is supposed to last a bit longer here...

Aha...
...so this is it, the new fragrance from Biotherm.

I took a chance on a blind buy and I am so disappointed. For me, there’s nothing of orange and lemon. I was particularly looking forward to those, as I was actually searching for a scent for the warmer days. And the description from Biotherm corresponds accordingly.

I was completely dazzled by the design of the bottle and the packaging. They clearly promise a cheeky, zesty scent - but far from it.

At first, after spraying, I smell a piercing note. I suspect that it’s the black currant. This note fades relatively quickly (thankfully), and all that’s left is a musty smell. It can’t be the fig - so I’m placing the blame on the Tiare...

I love musk and sandalwood - but I can’t perceive them at all in this fragrance. What a shame!

Although it’s an EdT, the scent doesn’t last long at all - in this case, the “ghost” is gone after 2 hours (thankfully for me). I find the price (100ml for €49) quite bold for that.

I’ll give the fragrance 2-3 more chances, and if I still find it so distasteful, maybe my mother-in-law will enjoy it (a rascal thinks evil of it :-) )

Childhood Memories Come Alive
The good old Nivea cream was used by my grandma and then by my mom for skincare, and as far as I can remember, I also got a dab of the cream at the right time. I can just smell it when I see the familiar blue cream jar. When I read that Beiersdorf is now launching a perfume that is supposed to smell exactly like the cream, I thought long and hard about it. The already posted comments here were also decisive, and what can I say...:

I did it.

Ordered online two days ago, and today the package arrived. The pictures here show how the fragrance is packaged or opened. My flacon is a bit difficult to take out of the blue "cushion" - therefore, I won’t be storing it in the jar with the "cushion" for the time being (during which I will surely wear the fragrance more often since it's new).

Of course, I had to test my new acquisition immediately today, and Beiersdorf does not promise too much! The scent actually smells like the cream. And it has remained unchanged on my skin for almost 4 hours now. I keep sniffing my wrist and am completely taken with it. I can't say much about the top, heart, and base notes. I can't pick out anything specific. It just smells like Nivea cream.

Childhood memories come alive for me.

The scent is classified as unisex. But I can't imagine my (my) man wearing this fragrance. For my part, I feel comfortable and almost a little pampered with it.

Tomorrow, I will let my mom sniff it, and surely my grandma afterwards. She turned 99 last month, is fortunately in great health, and always has her blue Nivea jar ready in the bathroom cabinet. I'm curious to see what both of them will say!
