Otto Kern is cycling again
To get straight to the point... DB Classic smells 80% like Otto Kern's
Cycle. By now, I must have tested at least 15 fragrances that are supposed to be
similar to it, but none were as close as this one.

Crazy... just yesterday I was talking here on Parfumo about the unfortunately long
discontinued fragrance from Otto Kern, and today I randomly test this Beckham in the
supermarket. I couldn't believe what was on my skin after a few minutes. There they
are again, those wonderful citrus fruits paired with mint and a great woody note.
The longevity is really decent at 6 hours, and the sillage is higher than stated here.
In both, it gets a 6. Unfortunately, the bottle is, as is often the case with drugstore
fragrances, just average: 5 points.

Personally, I don't usually care for celebrity fragrances, and Beckham wasn't exactly
one of my favorite footballers, but in this case, I want to overlook that.
So, anyone who wants to have Cycle back in their nose, or who wants to know
how it used to smell, should definitely give it a try.

By the way, it's a fragrance for every season, even though it's a fresh scent. An
absolutely great all-rounder that actually fits anytime.

Thank you for reading my comment :-)

When the restroom attendant smells better than you do :-D
Yes, I know...Closet Queen has nothing to do with a restroom attendant or a
toilet queen.
Here in the comments, the term has already been defined. However,
I was initially very confused by the name.

And I must say, the scent surprised me a lot. Raspberry in
men's fragrances? I'd rather take 2 steps back. But this one
grabbed me from the first sniff. DCQ doesn't have a big scent evolution.
Basically, you get the pyramid presented right in the top note.
I mainly smell raspberry, sandalwood, and violet. In the background,
you can sense the slightly powdery iris and also the tonka bean.
I wouldn't have thought that this combo could smell so good and sexy.
You all know the feeling when your hand or wrist has to constantly wander to your nose
;-)
Here, you just have to test it yourself to form your own opinion.
It convinced me so much that I need a bottle.

Longevity and sillage are perfectly fine, by the way. I personally don't like
fragrances where I have to constantly reapply or where the sillage is too close.

Aside from that, in my opinion, the ladies can also wear this scent.

I actually don’t want to write much more. Test it. It’s worth it!
There is sexiness in a bottle!

Thank you for reading my humble words :-))

The Slightly Different Fresh Scent
HWOWW is the slightly different fresh scent....
No bergamot, no grapefruit or similar notes in the fragrance pyramid.
And yet HWOWW is incredibly fresh.
Here, a good concept has finally been executed wonderfully. Everything just
fits together. The bottle, the color of the liquid, the name, and the nature
of the scent itself.
Just as a side note, for me it is the best of the He Wood series, but that
is always a matter of taste.
HWOWW reminds me of driftwood, possibly even of rotten wood, which
is by no means meant negatively. This note paired with the
violet accord actually makes one think of wet wood in the ocean.
Really well done!
So if you're looking for a fresh scent of a different kind, you should
definitely go for this one. Longevity and sillage are only average, but I find
that perfectly fine.
As I already mentioned, everything just fits here. Even the color of the
liquid reminds one of seawater.
Even the bottle is framed with real wood. The whole thing is well thought out.

Once again: Thumbs up. A fresh scent without fruit, that’s something you
have to achieve. So far, no scent from Dsquared has really impressed me.
But this one managed to get me to order a bottle.
Moreover, it is very affordable. Around €20/50ml.

Thank you for reading my comment. I hope I could bring you a bit closer to the
scent :-)

And what about teeeee....?
Sixteen92. A brand from the States that has received little attention here (so far).
Looking at the fragrances, it becomes clear that many of them are gourmands.
Whipped cream, chocolate, caramel, espresso, etc. But there are also notes like: leaves, stone
and book notes.
So I ordered 5 samples of the brand directly from the USA.
In general, I can already say that not a single one was bad.
Moreover, they are very high-quality oils that spread easily and are quite economical
to use. They also leave a slight sheen on the skin.

As a freebie, a sixth sample was included as well.
I would like to dedicate my comment to the fragrance that I liked the most.
Telesthesia
The scent has a really lovely tea note. Whether it's black or red tea leaf, I can't
really say. This tea note feels slightly ethereal. Really interesting.
Additionally, I perceive a slightly vanilla note in the drydown.
The whole thing is underscored by woodiness.

I find it can be worn by both genders.
The fragrance lasts about 6 hours on me and the sillage is moderate.

Overall, a really great scent and a brand that deserves more attention
than it currently gets. I don't know how it is in the States.

Especially the ladies should take a look at this.
I myself will definitely test more fragrances from Sixteen92.

Thank you for your attention :-)

The Better Sauvage
A few months ago, I tested Dior's Sauvage for the first time.
No fragrance polarized more at that time than this one.
I was very curious. I ordered a sample and sprayed it on.

I was a bit disappointed... Is this really the scent that is so hyped
and that women like so much...? Hmm
I thought it was quite good, but not so incredibly good that I had found the
holy grail. So I tested it for 2 days.
Unfortunately, something bothered me about Sauvage. Some note made it
unbearable for me. Ambroxan? It definitely annoyed me after 2-3 hours
of wear. No, I didn't want to put myself through that, so I discarded the sample and
initially forgot about it.
But somehow the scent stayed in my memory.....

Then I read about Rothschild for Men at some point. According to statements,
it is supposed to be a fragrance twin. So I had to test it.
And I was lucky enough to win a 60ml bottle for just
16€ including shipping.

When I received the bottle, I sprayed it on right away.
Oh yes, it smells like Sauvage. Maybe a bit milder and more citrusy in the
top notes. But much more pleasant. Exactly what made Sauvage unbearable for me
was perfect here.
I've been wearing it for 2 days now and I like it more and more.
Additionally, it has a great sillage and the longevity is over 12 hours for me.

Even the bottle is great. Really heavy glass. I think it's the heaviest
bottle I've ever had. Plus, the sprayer is absolutely fantastic.

I can really only recommend it to you.
Today I heard comments like: How do you manage to smell so fresh for 8 hours?
Or: Did you just spray yourself? (It was 6 hours ago) :-)

So: Absolute purchase recommendation!
