I feel like I’m taking crazy pills because I can’t find any reviews that mention the similarity with Platinum Egoiste. I mean, I love PE, so that means I think this smells great, but why the hell would I pay PDM prices when I can Chanel for cheaper? Performance is pretty similar as well. I already have PE, so this would be redundant, but for anyone looking for this vibe should absolutely go with PE, I mean it’s still Chanel.

To me this is not enough like GIT to be compared. I love GIT and Cool Water, but Creed is way over priced and CW has pretty poor longevity, so I was hoping for a similar feel that will last all day without breaking the bank. I blind bought this based on the DNA it supposedly shares, and the quality of PV, so I thought it would be a slam dunk. This was a huge let down for me, and I don’t like the scent even when not comparing it to the others. It reminds me most of Profondo’s briny, oceanic dry down mixed with something vaguely reminiscent of GIT. I’m going to have sell or gift this, because I don’t really like it.

This is a modern version of an old school barbershop fragrance. It’s a sharp, citrusy, resinous scent. Very mature. It reminds me most of Eau Sauvage Parfum, but with an orange rind note instead of lemon peel, and no cinnamon or anise. This has a darker feel to the freshness than ESP, and I like it more. It’s very well blended/balanced. In the deep dry down the patchouli becomes much more noticeable, which I’m never a fan of, but this is a very pleasant, smooth patchouli. Performance is very strong, I can still smell it the next day.
