the perfect all-rounder
The citrus note at the beginning is indeed a bit pungent but otherwise a beautiful long-lasting fresh fragrance with a smoky note that gives it a certain masculinity.
In my opinion, the fragrance is wearable at any time of the year and in any situation.
It is very similar, almost identical to an older Aventus Batch that I have compared several times with Club de Nuit at a good friend's house. I hardly smell any difference except perhaps the first citrusy top note mentioned above. When you consider that, according to many, Aventus has performed much less well since Creed took over the brand and that the price is sometimes 10 times higher, depending on what's on offer, I don't ask myself which of the two fragrances I wear.
Club de Nuit is the cheapest fragrance in my collection but at the same time the fragrance for which I have received the most compliments so far. I can think of at least five situations in which complete strangers have mentioned the perfume to me in public. This has never actually happened to me with any other fragrance.
In the meantime, it has to be said that the Aventus DNA has become very well-known, not as bad as One Million or Sauvage of course, but the fragrance is definitely no longer particularly unique in my perception.
Nevertheless, if I could only wear one fragrance, it would be this one, because of the price, the performance and the very flexible wearable beautiful DNA

perfect winter fragrance DNA with questionable durability
For me, the perfect fragrance DNA for winter if you are looking for a vanilla scent. I mainly perceive vanilla here too. Plus cinnamon and tobacco. However, the tobacco is not as obtrusive as in TF Tobacco Vanilla, for example, and the cinnamon is also rather subtle. The fragrance feels very close to the skin and the longevity is comparatively poor. Of course, this could also be due to my batch. Overall, for me it is a very nice winter fragrance that is more suitable for a relaxed evening on the couch, as it goes under in public. A little tip at the end: try layering it with an oud or amber oil, then the fragrance performs better in my perception without being drowned out by the oil.

my favorite saffron fragrance
Since the beginning of my journey through the perfume world, I have been particularly fond of sweet saffron fragrances. Baccarat Rouge, Instant Crush, Orodion, Stramonio and Spice Bomb are all good sweet fragrances with saffron, but none of them have appealed to me as much as Side Efect. If you're looking for a saffron fragrance without oud and Baccarat Rouge lacks a masculine, dark note, this fragrance is the one for you.
