Watch your step! Chief's coming!
My first comment, and it probably doesn't tear out positive trees....
Our boss doesn't show up too often. Maximum 2x a week. Busy man. At first he often stood in front of us in a surprising way. Silently and inconspicuously appeared, almost like a ninja. So he disappeared a few minutes later. These times have changed because he has apparently discovered a scent for himself that works like an early warning system for us. At the beginning he only left a pile of Sillage - sometimes for minutes, although he was no longer present. If he enters the room he left before, there is first of all a greeting with a bat of smelling baseball. Often the question was "poah, did he shower in his perfume again today?" By now you know he's coming before you see him. The smell's in your nose before you can tell it's there. With the scent he would have been a bad ninja back then...
The joke is that at first I didn't know what kind of scent it was - the others didn't anyway, because they don't deal with scents. A) nobody dared to tell him that he should please use a little less of his perfume and b) especially I didn't want to ask what he uses - I'll call it discretion.
Some time later: I ordered a handful of bottlings - ignorant of how I am. Predominantly from Parfums de Marly. The Layton was really extraordinary, I liked it very much and hoped for more good scents. Godolphin was one of the candidates, Herod also joined in, Aventus von Creed was also allowed to take a seat. Two Tom Ford fragrances were also there, Oud Wood and Tobacco Vanilla.
But of course one of them was not to be missed: Pegasus. And he came with timpani and trumpets and played a whole orchestra on his own. I had this scent in my nose the whole time, with an almost insurmountable and not to be ignored penetrance. Suddenly I had a big aha effect. "Damn, you know that smell. Oh dear, you know this scent only too well!". Alarm lights went off, as with the said early warning system.
To get back to my boss: I think or no, I know by now that he certainly won't start tomorrow by beheading hundreds of bottles, tipping them into the tub and then bathing in them. This scent is just like that.
But what does the abstract description "just like that" mean? My modest nose says extremely fresh, almost clinking cold. It's absolutely room-filling, almost biting. Unfortunately for me it goes too much into the metallic and hardly changes - in my opinion. From 0-100 with metallic freshness in the face and remains felt eternally on the accelerator pedal. I was able to see it on my skin 16h later, which impressed me deeply, but PDM is known for its enormous durability. But unfortunately it is not one of these fragrances, which I would like to call my own for me personally.
