A compliment bringer that is not 0815
I bought the fragrance in fall 2022 and immediately fell in love with it. I didn't really wear the fragrance until 2023.
When I smell the fragrance, I think of apple and sage and actually mint. It's a typical fresh Valentino Uomo DNA, but the fragrance also has a sweetness that I really like. After the drydown, you can smell the tobacco, which makes it masculine and elegant. The longevity is a bit above average. The silage is also a little stronger.
But why the title of this review? I wore this fragrance to my graduation ball in a midnight blue suit and I really have to say that on that summer evening I was approached by at least 8 different ladies who said that I smelled really good and what I was made of. Even in the past I can often remember heads turning as I walked past, but because it's not a dead sweet scent but more of a fresh apple scent, I see it more positively.
Today in 2024 I work in a perfumery myself and I have to say that many people don't even have an overview of this fragrance. Customers often refer to it as a shisha fragrance or double apple, but they often buy it a few minutes after it has dried on their skin.
I know a lot of scents and actually I don't smell this kind of scent that often. I think you should mix tobacco with fruit more often in summer.

I actually remembered Hugo Boss differently. "The old DNA that changes a little bit every time". "You spray it on and after 2 hours you smell nothing" "It's like Colonia" These were my thoughts when I thought about Hugo Boss fragrances.
One morning I got the email that I could test the new fragrance from Hugo Boss, the Boss Bottled perfume! "What an imaginative name" I thought to myself. I had Smoke Oud and Ombre Leather on my wish list at the time and saw that some of the scents were identical so I thought come on it's a gift.
The fragrance arrived and I sprayed it on. "Wow, it doesn't smell bad, but it'll probably be gone in a minute." I went out in the morning, around noon I met an old colleague from my childhood and the first thing he said to me after shaking my hand was "Wow, you smell good, what's that? Oud Wood?" I looked at him in amazement and told him it was the new Boss fragrance. He just grinned. In the evening, when I showered before going to bed, I actually still smelled it.
To cut a long story short, I've been wearing this fragrance for 2 years now. It is now part of my collection and I buy it again and again. In terms of price and performance, it keeps up with my more expensive fragrances. Silage is also very strong so when I enter any room people know it's me, but without it being distracting. It smells to me like a mixture of Ombre Leather and Oud Wood with a slight Boss DNA.
