Leather plus wood plus tobacco
This is a combined review of Ombre Leather EdP, Ombre Leather Parfum and Eau d'Ombre Leather. I've been looking for a mild and versatile leather fragrance for those occasions where a strong leather scent won't work. Tested from samples. I had really high expectations for these, seeing how well liked they are.
Of the three, I preferred the scent of the EdP the best, although it seemed to be the sweetest of the three (but none are super sweet). The EdP is strictly leather but with the other notes softening it a bit and making it fresher and lighter. Where the EdP fails for me is in performance, specifically longevity. I got maybe about 4 hours out of it at which point it was a very subtle skin scent. I suppose it has been reformulated and watered down. Given the price, I expect much more.
The Parfum had better longevity (around 7 hours) with average sillage. The scent however is less leather. Or, maybe a better way to put it, it's leather plus a woody note and tobacco such that it's not very leather dominant - more of a well blended mix. I cared the least for the Parfum's scent.
Eau d'Ombre is the newest in the collection (released in 2024). It had the best longevity; got about 9 hours out of it. I'm currently at 11 hours and there still remains a very subtle skin scent. It starts out with a strong leathery scent which made be hopeful I had a winner here. I only got maybe about 3 to 4 hours of that. The fragrance then slowly deteriorated into less leather/more vanilla and powdery. Not my style at all.
TL,DR; Didn't care for any of them. The best scent was the EdP but it had dismal performance. The Parfum and Eau d'Ombre had reasonable performance but didn't care for the scent of either.
