WRoth described the top and middle well. The sweet top notes do not prepare you for the leathery dry down. This scent last a long time despite me washing my hand. The leather and patchouli stick around for a long time. The sillage is in the middle.

Sweaty Body
It goes on and on!!! It won't quit! This fragrance is very linear and over it's life I sense only a slight evolution...

I smell sweaty man! This is the dirtiest amber I have ever smelled! All of my family thought it was sweaty man body on my arm.
Despite the BO smell it is still distinctly amber in the end. Not for me!

Love it!
Starts with a very lemony, almost lemongrass-like note. This citrus lasts for a good 15min which then reveals the cedarwood underneath.

It further evolves to a kerosene or gasoline-like note which I, suprisingly, dont mind and even like!

The rose in this reminds me of the expert rose from the Parfums de Rosine line. The aoud underneath it all is very sweet which I am coming to understand Montale as producing a very sweet aoud.

I would love to add this to my collection.

AMAZING SCENT!!
I will come back and edit this review. I am just blown away by this fragrance!! I can not stop smelling my wrist!

The top is quite aquatic with exelllent aoud and cedarwood basenotes to anchor it!! I almost smell a slight bit of pepper in the middle notes and maybe anise. Upon further investigation it is too sweet to be anise. Maybe some labdanum or honey is keeping it sweet.

I will NO DOUBT be purchasing this for my fiance!!

Well balanced trip to see my grandmother
When I could not find "Maze" by typing it in the search bar I almost thought it was "AMAZE" but I knew AMaze did not have oud.

It does indeed start off as a nice Rose Oud. Quite Strong, but wearable. I would wear it through any season, because the rose and settling into a pleasant musk. I can tell the rose is of superior quality and Damask if I am correct? The rose is young, yet vintage, even my mother who dosnt like rose still liked it, because it was well balanced with the oud.

I picture walking into my grandma's house. First struck by a wonderful rosy smell of the garden outside her house. She welcomes me at her door smelling fresh of oud. The oud is not tart or dry, but is fresh and quite soapy on its drydown. We settle for tea at her table the musky smell of her house brings back memories of childhood for me as we talk well into the afternoon.

Wonderful scent! It is not quite strong enough nor last long enough for me to pay over $40 for a large bottle.
