The king of flowers
And again a rating with over 9 points from me. Why do I always give away so many points?
Probably because I always get carried away to a rating when I am totally flashed by a fragrance.

So also here, with the fragrance creation from the house of Schorsch.

I would therefore like to apologize to the previous speakers in advance, because what is attributed to the fragrance here as a malus, makes the fragrance for me the most luxurious experience I have ever had in my fragrance history.

I won't go into the individual notes either, enough has already been written for that.

First of all, for those of you who do not yet know the fragrance, I would like to list my personal associations with the fragrance:

Creamy - White - Soft - Warm - Pompous - Floral - Sweet - Ripe - Aristocratic - Noble - Clean - Strong - Decadent - Graceful - Sublime - Superior - Unique - Sophisticated.

This is probably what Ludwig II of Bavaria would smell like. A fairytale prince who devotes himself to the muse in his castle garden. A conqueror who, after the battle he has won, slips into his finest and most exquisite clothes to take the daughter of his defeated arch-rival as his wife in a solemn ceremony accompanied by white flower arrangements. The sheikh who goes to his magnificent bathing temple after the falcon hunt. But also the Mafiosi, who in his spare time takes care of the family as a loving husband and father in the protection of his own four walls. The white knight fighting for his fair maiden. The minstrel named Walther von der Vogelweide. Louis XIV - the Sun King of France.

In short: The soft core of the (primordial) man - filled in a bottle.

Now I would like to address the points of criticism that are often levelled against the fragrance.

#1 "The smell is heavy, pompous and oppressive"
Absolutely! The air wafts creamy white. Just heavenly! Like a fluffy eiderdown quilt. Not too sweet and very natural.

#2 "The fragrance is for women only"
No way. Worn by a woman, the fragrance embodies pure, yet serious and mature femininity. In the man he brings out the graceful, calm and sublime side. The protective family man

#3 "pure white blood"
That's right. Someone who hates white bloods probably gets the lethal dose here. Nevertheless, I advise each of these people to at least try this scent. That's the way white-bloods should smell!

Remains to mention the accessories:

Durability: After showering still intensively perceptible.

Sillage: Two sprayers and Bon Jovi starts singing "Bed of Roses"

Flacon: pure luxury.

Did I mention that I have a new favorite scent?

I know that one..
For the summer I ordered Virgin Island Water, which I had the pleasure to receive today with friends.
Included: A black box with three samples of the series "Tuscan Scent" by Salvatore Ferragamo. My clear favorite is Incense Suede.
Why is that? Well, because the scent character is clearly assignable to another perfume, which I already own:
Amouage Jubilee XXV Man.
The same blackberry in the top note, here referred to as dried fruit. In addition, the sour, coniferous fir-like heart note and the oudig-smoky-oriental base.
The focus here is mainly on the blackberry and the scent looks a bit dirtier than the Amouage (stable note), which I really like.
In terms of complexity, quality and performance, however, it does not come close to the original.
Nevertheless a solid fragrance, which despite all this appeals to me above all because of this dark temple vaulted cellar wall vibe, which the Amouage does not have. As I said, this one is dirtier, but unfortunately also easier.
Since the price here is also in the niche fragrance area, I would rather reach for the XXV anniversary.
All in all, however, a thoroughly successful oriental fragrance

Red Sun
Gaultier2 was one of my first fragrances 10 years ago, when my collection consisted of only three fragrances. Le Male, Joop Homme and Gaultier2.

I was 17 at the time and I wasn't that well-versed in the world of perfume. However, I still remember exactly how Gaultier2 became my favourite fragrance at that time.

It was autumn and I strolled through a Müller boutique. Even then I liked to take an afternoon off and try out new fragrances.

Dot by the magnetic flacon, I sprayed it on myself. Then I was overcome by this warm feeling. I have to say that for me this perfume is more of a feeling captured in a bottle. By that I mean that I feel the smell more than I smell.

I would like to describe this feeling to you now:

It's autumn. After a long school day with afternoon classes, we walk leisurely to the bus station. It has become a bit colder and you notice for the first time that the summer is really over. The autumn leaves sweep across the street, it's pretty quiet since most people are still working. I adjust my scarf to keep me comfortably warm. I can already see my bus. We're finally going home. Thank God it's the new coach, not the old tin box. After all, I have an hour's drive ahead of me. A time that I like to use to relax and to review the day. I sit down at the window; the seat is comfortable and the bus cushions any unevenness on the road. Besides, you hardly hear any driving noises. It's a new coach. It's 4:00 and the sun is already low. I tilt my back a little backwards, tilt my head to the side and look at the beautiful autumn landscape. On the horizon the autumn sun is enthroned above everything. It is large, fiery red to orange and its edges literally waft. It immerses everything in a warm orange light that still provides minimal warmth. Yeah, that was a good school day today. I lean back and fall asleep warmed by the pleasant heating in the bus, while a shadow theatre takes place on my eyelids, played by the trees and houses in the orange cone of sunlight.

That's how this perfume feels to me and I still can't understand why Gaultier stopped producing it.

To my delight I found a dupe that smells exactly like the original. I received this today, so I'm writing this comment as well. The skin scent appears slightly spicier. From a distance of 20cm it concerns however Gaultier2. After half an hour the skin scent is also identical. The durability is also identical in my opinion. Not weaker and not stronger than the original.

It is perfume no. 481 by L'Arisé, if anyone is interested. I'm not advertising here, I'm just saying the smell's still there.

In any case, it's a pity that the original no longer exists. A great perfume for man and woman

As if a T-Rex yelled at me -> Brutal power in its purest form
After buying my first Arabian perfume (Faqat lil Rijal from Rasasi) last year, I was so fuzzy about its completely different make that I did a lot of research on YouTube, Fragrantica, Parfumo etc. in the direction of Arabian perfumes.

Then I saw a perfume review of Shuhrah and I couldn't believe how enthusiastic and extensive people described this blue-lilac, in its simple bottle so gentle-looking juice.

"Devil's juice", "Beast mode", "Hookers, sex, ashtray and Las Vegas", "Bad in a bottle"...

Not long considered, immediately bought blind. Also at the risk that the scent could be provocative or repulsive to other people. Whatever, I want to experience what the guy on YouTube talks about all the time!

As soon as I arrived, I gently opened the package. I was a little nervous, I have to admit, because I didn't know what to expect in any way.

First I smelled the spray head.

"Hmmm, smells rather sweetish, syrupy with a slightly fruity note, but only slightly fruity, like prunes or figs. What was that guy talking about?"

So I sprayed it on and BAAMM!!

The soapiest curd soap ever whipped me in the face, in addition the smell of the concentrated and afterwards several times reduced shaving lotion of types like Ron Perlman, perhaps a dried up plum as small fruity note. Somehow the full load of herbs and resin, thick and sticky like hot tar. After 15 - 30 minutes there's the ashtray full to the brim as a second helping in the middle of the visage; the ash mixed with lipstick and some women's perfume. The altar boy stands next to it and today has put on a spoon more incense than he begins to incense the room. Nevertheless, the whole thing is supported by such energetic and potent freshness that the scent appears fresher and less heavy than typical winter scents.

And all this in combination just smells awesome, I can't say anything more about it. One feels current flowing through the veins, feels energetic, charged, strong and powerful.

Certainly not for the office, unless you're the boss. In the spare time the smell goes always.

It is also the only fragrance I have that I like better and better the more often I use it. Normally I get used to it at some point, which makes the scent more "boring" for me.

Not like that monster.

Performance and Sillage 20/10. Real. This perfume is the strongest I know. One sprayer (for more you need a gun license) is enough for 24 hours. My girlfriend used to be on the ground floor of my parents' house while I sprayed myself with it upstairs in my room. A splash. Five minutes later my girlfriend shouted up from downstairs, "Have you been using that blue perfume again?" Well, what can I say isn't her favorite scent...

My recommendation: Buy the perfume! Cost with shipping about 30 euros and has a hammer quality and 90ml content. After spraying you have a real puddle of oil on your skin, real madness.

Well, that had to come out. Good night

I love him, I don't love him, I love him, I don't love him...
Actually, I should be preparing for my upcoming exams right now. But all too easily I let myself be distracted by my perfume collection and sniff here and there. Just when I saw dear Aventus standing on the shelf.

Aventus was my first niche fragrance and I remember exactly when I unpacked the 50ml bottle the year before last, sprayed the fragrance onto my wrist and inhaled it. "And it was summer," Peter Maffay would put it that way.

This sharp-edged and crystal-clear, tingling fruitiness made my synapses crackle. In my mind I had to think of bubbling champagne, pouring it right after the cork popped. I'd never smelled anything like it before. In addition the woody, slightly smoky note, which becomes stronger later. It's like smashing a lemon and a pineapple with full force against a slightly scorched birch tree and then smelling the tree. Simply fabulous!

The bottle was empty before the end of summer and as a student I'm not always so financially liquid, so I mourned it until I ordered it again last summer (this time the 100ml bottle).

It was also exam time and the scent gave me self-confidence to master the exams. The temperature made me feel the scent in my nose again and again, as did other students who asked me what perfume I had on me because they liked it so much. I had again the same experience as in the year before.

Then it slowly became autumn and the cold weather arrived. Then the big shock:

Aventus no longer smelled so good to me. It smelled good already, but in my opinion it didn't stand out from my collection of fragrances, which has grown more numerous so far. I didn't get any more associations when I smelled the scent.

I have a certain image in each of my fragrances in my head when I inhale it. Then I also choose my perfumes; according to the image or the associations they evoke in me. At that point there was nothing left.

Did I wear it too often, perhaps? Am I so used to him that he's nothing special to me anymore? As it is said of sudden millionaires for whom wealth becomes boring after a while?

During the autumn and winter I put it to the test several times, but my impression was confirmed again and again. So I didn't use it anymore and switched to my autumn/winter fragrances like Tom Ford Noir Extreme or Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Abyad, Rasasi Shuhrah or Rasasi Faqat Lil Rijal. Or to my other favourite of Creed, the Viking, where I see myself in the position of a Norman on his longboat, who is caught in the nose by the aromatic rotten wood of the boat, on which he breaks out of the fjord into new raids. For me an all-year-round all-rounder.

Just now I was disappointed again when I saw him (the Aventus) standing there so lonely during the previous walk and I sprayed him on myself. He just doesn't flash me anymore.

But I don't think I like the smell in cold weather and it doesn't unfold the way it does in warm temperatures.

Since I was so taken with him for two consecutive summers, I assume that this fragrance is made for spring/summer. Now in winter I am drawn to warm, sweet, resinous and smoky oriental scents.

Unfortunately I don't love him anymore, but I hope that he will knock me back in summer like he did in the last two years. If not, I guess I'll have to say goodbye to him

My conclusion:

Outstanding in summer, extraordinary, stunning (a 10). In winter somehow out of place and extremely uninteresting (a 7).

Well, I'll keep learning...

What about the season for Aventus in your country? Do you wear it all year or do you have any preferences?
