Reflection - mirror image
I've worn this fragrance so many times, but I've never written a review about it. Why is that? For me, it's now the fragrance I reach for when I'm short on time, when I'm struggling to choose a fragrance or when I want to wear something "simple" without attracting negative attention. A fragrance that used to be so special to me has become normal for me over time.
When I fell in love with perfume as a hobby and tested the first sample of Reflection Man, I knew immediately: I want it! Almost like a holy grail for me at the time. I told everyone that I hoped I could buy a bottle. And a few months later, I did. A beautiful fragrance that I described at the time as a "white, luminous flower". A pure feel-good fragrance - clean and well-groomed, exactly how I wanted to feel.
Lately, I've often complained that many fragrances seem too smooth, too perfect and characterless. And yet: why did I like this "clean man" fragrance so much? Perhaps because sometimes that's exactly what I like - a simple but sophisticated, smooth fragrance. It offers a nice contrast to my smoky or edgy fragrances.
Reflection Man is probably the fragrance I wear most often in my collection. It seems simple but is pleasant and sophisticated and if you look closely, you can see that there are more notes to the fragrance than you would expect. It is precisely this mixture of simplicity and elegance that makes it so special. That's why it deserves my rating - I simply love it.
The fragrance is clear, soft and rounded. A light spiciness from the pepper and rosemary, sweetness from the bitter orange leaf. The floral notes that make it what it is radiate from the heart, while sandalwood provides a soft, woody rounding. Vetiver, cedar and patchouli lend it some herbaceous and slightly soapy notes. Everything is perfectly balanced - nothing disturbs. Reflection Man is soft, clean, noble, pure and white with a certain cool but also warm aura for me.
Reflection Man made me think about my relationship with this fragrance. It's pure and innocent - definitely not a reflection of the person wearing it. But perhaps an expression of how we would like to be, how we want to be perceived and maybe that's why it has so many followers?

The view through the kaleidoscope
An explorer stands on deck, his ship made of creaking wood breaking through the waves. The sun, already strong in the sky, bathes the sea in golden light. Seagulls circle high above, writing and dancing with the salty and rough wind of the sea that blows impetuously through the sails. The explorer doesn't carry much with him, just the bare essentials: a kaleidoscope hanging from a leather strap around his neck.
With curious eyes, he lifts the kaleidoscope and looks through it. The world shatters into colors and shapes, but there, among all the iridescence, he sees something special: an island, untouched, lush green and fresh. He turns the kaleidoscope a little and suddenly limes appear, countless, bright green and juicy and shimmering. A strong desire sweeps through him, he must go there, he wants to feel the scent and freshness of the island.
With firm resolve, he sets course for the mysterious coast. Later, as he sails through the spray, he takes another look through the kaleidoscope. He is still on Kurz, but this time it shows him more: the island is not uninhabited. A people live there, a harmonious, peaceful life. He sees them collecting honey directly from the honeycombs deep in the forest, a dense forest of various fragrant woods. The honey shines golden, almost like liquid light.
At last he docks. The air of the island welcomes him with a fragrance that immediately envelops him: a salty breeze, infused with the citrusy freshness of limes, mixed with the warm aroma of woods and honey. He is greeted warmly by the islanders. By the fire, on which resins are steaming, flowers lie next to them, gathered in the shade of the forest. Sandalwood and vanilla lend the scene a complementary creaminess.
The island is a kaleidoscope of scents: green, citrusy, salty, creamy, sweet and at the same time warm and complex. Every time he looks through his kaleidoscope again, he discovers new details, new facets that combine to form a deep, harmonious overall picture.
The explorer, which is me, puts the kaleidoscope down and suddenly I realize that I am in the snow again. It's cold outside, frosty, while inside the Advent candles are burning and I can smell the spruce that stands as a Christmas tree in the living room.
What contrasts, what a journey. Thank you NOAM for taking us with you. I like to look through this kaleidoscope again from time to time. It took me a long time to put this fragrance into words, a very long time indeed, and now I have finally been able to write them down.

A night full of smoke, whisky and spices
It docked on distant land, the huge old ship, its silhouette silhouetted in the evening twilight. As the crew stepped ashore over the creaking planks, they saw the bats flitting silently into the dark forest. Together, they lit a large fire, its flames dancing and sending a huge plume of gray smoke into the night sky.
In this atmosphere, they smoked their concoction of tobacco, tea,
black pepper, dried fruit and citrus peel. The scent of this mixture rose into the clear night air and mingled with the smoke from the fire, which continued to blaze vigorously. A harmony of deep black birch tar, earthy, spicy and sweet notes filled the air. The surrounding animals in the forest could also detect the beguiling scent.
One of the crew made their way back to the ship, accompanied by the soft glow of the moon and the stars reflected in the calm sea. The waves lapped gently against the rocks and the ship creaked softly, held up only by the heavy anchor. He walked across the planks and climbed down the creaking stairs into the dark interior of the ship. There, in the storage chamber made of old, dark wood, lit by flickering torches, was an old barrel of whisky.
This whisky, smoky and rich, came from the Scottish islands and carried memories of peaty moors and salty sea air in its aroma. A companion joined them and together they dragged the heavy barrel ashore. They sat around the fire and let the whisky flow into their mugs as the night wore on.
Together they kept raising their mugs and shouting "Vi et Armis, Vi et Armis, Vi et Armis!" which means "with force and arms". It was the motto of the colony that had always brought them victory. They remembered their adventures and how they had recently captured many spices in India.
So they spent the night, wrapped in the scent of tobacco and spices, the smoke of the fire and the aroma of whisky.

The fragrance starts with a powerful smoky note. The first time I had to cough a little. At first I thought the smoke was too dominant for me. But pretty quickly this smoky curtain lifted and behind it these tea, citrusy, spicy notes with the dry tobacco unfolded. And then later another smoky component from the whiskey. Finally, a slightly sweet note from the caramel accompanied by lighter woody notes. It is a very exciting fragrance with an interesting pyramid. Smoke, more smoke, spicy, woody and a light but pleasant sweetness.
I didn't like the fragrance the first time I smelled it after spraying it on. The scent reminded me of an ashtray. But I realized that I had to give it a chance. Once that smoky curtain opened and I got into the fragrance, I discovered its true beauty and complexity.

The old companion
The morning dawns and I open my perfume cabinet. There are familiar and new bottles. But in the background rests an old companion, the first fragrance I ever ordered, even as a blind buy. How long ago was that? I think it was July 2021, only two years ago? But I've experienced so much with this fragrance. I choose the deep sea blue bottle with golden accents. Oh yes, that's right, back then I was so over-motivated and ordered the 200ml bottle straight away, which I simply don't use up. I spray it on my skin. After 5 seconds, the fragrance unfolds. Images and memories come to life in my head. This perfume has triggered so much. I ended up here because of this fragrance and now invest in this "hobby" every month.
After this little anecdote, let's move on to the fragrance itself:
A beautiful blue bottle with the golden face of Medusa in the middle and an elegant golden lid. It feels heavy in the hand and has a high-quality feel. Inside is an aquatic, citrusy and slightly sweet shower gel fragrance with a hint of masculinity.
The fragrance was created to please - an elegant yet intriguing designer shower gel fragrance that is never overpowering.
It is the all-rounder par excellence, suitable for every occasion and every season. Sillage and longevity are good. You notice the fragrance. I can smell it myself for about 3-4 hours, which is absolutely appropriate for a fresh fragrance and the price.
As already mentioned, you get a fragrance here that is worth every penny. Perfect for beginners in the world of fragrances. After testing so many other fragrances over the last 2 years, I sometimes find Versace Dylan Blue a little boring. But when I do wear it again, I like this aquatic and very successful designer fragrance from Versace. I should wear it more often again...

Beauty at second sight
When I received the perfume as a gift some time ago and felt its scent in my nose for the first time, my first impression was not bad, but not particularly overwhelming either. Somehow it was just another designer fragrance.
I gave it a second chance and sprayed it again on my chest, my sweater and my wrists so that I could perceive it better. On this cloudy and slightly rainy day, I made my way to vocational school. As I sat on the train, I was suddenly enveloped in a spicy scent. But it wasn't just spice, these spicy notes were embedded in a creamy, powdery, warm blanket of amber, coumarin and patchouli. I closed my eyes and immediately felt relaxed, as if I were lying in a bed of powder and cream. A soothing warmth flowed through me and my heart felt safe. This pleasant scent stayed with me all day long.
As a fairly new enthusiast in the wide world of perfumes, I had never noticed a powdery scent before. But after experiencing the hidden elegance of Prada "Black", I immediately realized that this is the epitome of a powdery fragrance.
I had no problems with the longevity and the fragrance lasts quite a long time on me.
I think it's a perfect office fragrance for spring and fall. Not too loud and not too quiet, but very elegant. It also goes down well with people around me.
