If you don't want to spend a lot on tonka....
This is you go-to. Everything about this cologne is about as average as you can get. From the name to the bottle design. The scent is comforting, nice, sweet, musky and very tonka bean heavy, which I enjoy. I wanted a tonka scent for winter, and this is maybe third place. Right next to Allure Homme Sport, and Tom Ford's Fucking Fabulous.

Its not as heavy hitting, unique or long lasting as the tonka trucks mentioned, but it has its place as a scent you can start with as a base. In other words, its safe, and if you only wish to dabble in the bean, this should be your experimental juice.

Somewhere in a hotel room, in the mid 90's...we found each other.
That's what Le Male was, it was Dior Sauvage - the lavender version, it was the only one of its kind, it smelled either male or female, very metrosexual, yet, everyone loved and had it. Lavender, mint, and vanilla...no one will ever complain about this combo in life.

It works here, its soothing, sexy, in your face but still delicious. At the time, scents like these were either very rare or far too expensive. At the 60-70 dollar price range, this was the winter scent king. Some have used it for summer, but even as an EDT it stay on and has a powerful sillage. When I first tried this as a kid, not only was I amazed on how long it lasted, but it was complimented heavily alongside Curve...women just love lavender.

The bottle design is 10/10, it was daring to be polarizing in the 90's....you remember, when colognes had "exciting" square and or circle shapes, this was the much needed combo breaker. It takes designers like Paco or Carolina almost going full kitsch, to recreate such a polarizing bottle. They do their part, but Le Male holds the crown.

If you love or even like lavender, just buy it, the bonuses of vanilla and mint are just added compliment pullers, and in general it soothing smell...there's a reason lavender essential oils ar always top tier.

It's the reason you know about Creed...
If you're 25-30 or a tad older, this was your deodorant, body spray, lotion and aftershave...and I don't mean that jokingly, LC still sells the tin that contains the cologne and everything mentioned, which at first feels bargain bin/horrible christmas gift from grandma..

Till you put it on, and realize that you never knew you wanted to smell like Bergamot and pineapple. Before Orion, before Accento, and certainly before Creed, we had the poor man's pineapple scent, but instead of being shoved to the shelves alongside the AXE brand, men clung onto this one heavily.

Not my most complimented in one month, definitely the most complimented of all time. It does what Creed wanted to do, its sweeter, softer, but still stark enough for anyone in the room to notice you. This was the Dior Sauvage of its time, everyone had it, except while people can get tired of pink pepper, no one gets tired of the playful notes of pineapple.

Sure it doesn't last that long, and the bottle is as basic b*itch as you can get, but that scent + price will always keep this as the GOAT and in the HoF.
