Sweet Purple. Powdery Violet.
Love the bottle. Great shape and feels nice to hold. Hate that there’s just a cheap sticker as a label.
When this perfume arrived it was during my lunch break and I quick spritzed two sprays and walked forward into it and one spray that I walked backwards into… and headed back to work. Big mistake. It’s was 85 degrees fahrenheit with 90% humidity, I work in a non temp controlled shop and holy crap did this stuff knock me out. It was SO strong and suffocating, I had a headache with 30 minutes and was afraid of getting too close to anyone. After a couple of hours of airing out it settled down (or I went nose blind), but none of my coworkers ever complained…nor did they compliment…
Anyway. Yeah, it’s strong. I am an over sprayer and had read reviews not to do that with this one and they were right. It is very powdery and sweet and purple. SO PURPLE smelling. My first feeling about it was being wrapped up in a towel after a bath as a little kid.
I tried it a couple more times in high heat/ humidity and it just does not work for me. Gets so thick and heavy. However, today it is only 50 degrees F and low humidity and it smells DIVINE. Creamy and sweet almost like purple frosting and…idk like, iridescent. Very fairytale. Will be my winter staple for sure.
Longevity is fantastic. One of the only perfumes I can use at night and still smell on my pjs the next day. Holds on to clothes for a good 24-48 hours easy.
I have struggled with powder scents and this is the first I have liked but I’d say it is more violet than anything else. Also, if you are looking for the meteorite pearls scent, this is not it. Maybe a hint of that but it isn’t makeup powdery enough, too sweet. I have Rosa Pop by Guerlain and it is a lot closer to the meteorites.
For some reason my cat absolutely loves when I wear this perfume and I can’t keep him off of me.
Sultry Sandalwood
Very first impression, gave me Estée Lauder Sensuous combined with Guess Gold vibes. I was expecting a spicy aquatic but it is much more waxy and deep. I feel like it is going to be an excellent winter perfume, which was what I bought it for, just wish I could pick up on more of the watery notes. Not getting any fruits or melon at all…it feels like black licorice.
After wearing this more and as it has aged, it has become much more sultry and defined. Longevity has greatly improved and it has turned into a clean cashmere sandalwood that feels snuggly and warm.
Light fluffy vanilla
After reading reviews I think something might be wrong with mine or it really needs to mature and sit for awhile…
I don’t get any powder but a light mellow vanilla musk. Smells exactly like if you layered Prada Candy Kiss with Coty Vanilla Musk. I have both and tried it, near identical. It’s tame and sweet, very vanilla and long lasting, but very light. A touch gourmand. Even with ten sprays, small scent bubble for sure.
Was hoping for a creamy vanilla powder bomb, but I am sadly just not getting any powder, instead it’s a fluffy musk. Good basic vanilla to layer with though, anchors lighter more fleeting fragrances well. Smells great under a layer of any crisp pink rose, like Paul Smith Rose or even Perfumers Workshop TeaRose.
Edit to add: This has been sitting for exactly one month and has greatly improved! I am finally getting some powder and the vanilla is stronger, creamier.
Another Edit: Three months in and this is very close to Micheal Kors Sexy Amber, though less perfumey and fluffier with a creamy vanilla. I tired both at the same time and realized even the bottles/caps/juice color are similar.
Smooth, woody vanilla
I am not a gourmand lover and I don’t like smoky scents either and this lands very nicely in the middle. Sweet, slightly spicy, sexy. My husband absolutely loves it on me. A grown up vanilla for sure. Layers very well with Prada Candy Kiss.
For a body spray I am amazed at the longevity and scent bubble. This is probably my most complimented fragrance, even hours after I’ve applied it and can’t even smell it on myself. This outperforms a lot of the newer watered down EDPs coming out these days. I’ve had it for a year now and it honestly just keeps getting better and better. About to buy a second bottle to save before they reformulate and ruin it (like what seems to happen to literally everything eventually…)
I feel like this is the only vanilla I will ever need as it is such perfection. Some say it smells like Replicas By the Fireplace and I hate that scent, campfire and burnt marshmallows to me. This is not that. This is a smooth, silky woody vanilla.
Pear Perfection
Adorable bottle!! I only picked up a small one ounce and I am just in love with the cute purple apple, although this fragrance in neither purple nor apple…
This is a very basic clean pear scent with floral touches. Not very strong, straight forward clean and fruity. I almost get DKNY Be Delicious vibes even though I know there is no apple in it. The pear it does have though is very sweet and juicy, cool and crisp.
It’s clean and easy. I originally purchased it as I am trying all of the supposed Chanel Chance Eau Tendre dupes and this is very different, does not have the fluffy musky down at all.
I’ll enjoy it while I have it but won’t be repurchasing. Very little scent bubble and only 3 hourish longevity. I will blow through this small bottle in less than a month easy.
Edit to add: I did indeed empty this one ounce bottle in under a month and this fragrance has really grown on me. I actually don’t ever want to be without it. Hands down the best pear forward fragrance I’ve ever come across and I have already purchased the largest bottle I could find.
