EdT vs. aftershave - "special"
First of all: for me, the aftershave has more to offer! I will be happy to explain why. As I can call both my own, I was naturally curious when I noticed the differences in the fragrance pyramid here on Parfumo. Without a doubt, both are high-quality, refreshing, masculine, well-groomed and natural. Immediately after spraying them on, they start off almost identically. But then...! Where Capucci pour homme EdT develops fresher, a little grape-sugary-grassy-ozony, similar to other classic Colonia's such as Acqua di Parma, Green Water or Moustache edt, the aftershave develops somewhat differently. Well. That's what makes this aftershave so special. It is deeper, greener, warmer, very subtly smoky/leathery or rather resinous. Slightly physical and sweet. That's what it smells like when you're looking for truffles. At least that's how I imagine it. :) The edt is not so close to the ground, more at knee height.
Let me put it this way: if you love Jules by Dior like I do, you will definitely also tend towards the aftershave. They don't have much in common in terms of durability, which enhances the quality of the aftershave.
Both are rather subtle fragrances with an impressive, body-like durability.
So if I had to choose one, I would definitely opt for the EdT. The aftershave is "special"!

Hercules-Cologne
Unbelievable! This cologne performs with a brute force that is unparalleled, but not unappealing or overwhelming.
I haven't looked at the ingredients list yet, so I have an open mind.
What do I smell?
Woody aromatic with ambery vetiver or oakmoss. Very slightly incensey. Some kind of spice that I can't identify accompanies the fragrance. Sage perhaps. A little leathery with a hint of rose.
I describe this fragrance as very masculine. Something dark and resinous flashes up from time to time. Could be galbanum.
All in all, a green leathery/woody fragrance with a very slightly ambery honey note.
The silage and durability are pleasant to above average. However, the concentration is similar to an eau de parfum. A Hercules cologne! I like it very much!
There are definitely similarities to "Trussardi Uomo (1983) (Eau de Toilette) | Trussardi" and also "Ajonc (Eau de Toilette) | Yves Rocher"
Otherwise, I don't know anything comparable.
