More subtle than the church allows
If the Catholic Church and its dignitaries were like this fragrance, one would not have to worry about this institution. For me, a subtle fragrance, with much sensitivity, with great care, accuracy proceeding or executed; going into the subtleties; differentiated.
However, close to the church in one.... finely structured, therefore difficult to see through and understand. This also means subtle.

Each personal evaluation is always subjective, deserves respect and acceptance. Even if the sensation and evaluate sometimes eludes one, the other sees and smells it so and basta.

Here now my subjective feeling...
Perhaps this Cardinal is so finely structured and so difficult to see through, that one would like to imagine that where there is a lot of incense on it, there must also be a lot of soft smoke in it.
Because other components do not dominate and everything is so finely interwoven, you look for components? I felt that way and with Holy Spirit, I have perceived fragrances that were clearly smokier (Tyrannus, Norne, Precious Woods, N°. XXII - Black Afghan, even Oud Muataq, to name a few). Perhaps with a resemblance to Sancti - Eau Delà, but clearly softer.

That this fine fragrance Cardinal should be so smoky I explain myself only with the fact that the other components are difficult to detect and incense is at least finely perceptible, very fine. Linen, slightly citrusy, fresh, creamy, mildly spicy and sweet I still perceive, all rather subtle. Otherwise, it is really hard for me to dissect this fragrance. I would also like to leave it, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Cardinal is a very gentle, fine, light composition, which I would like to see as a whole and let it act on me.
A touching work for the quiet, sensitive and sensitive times of life.

Interesting exotic thanks to licorice
The first impulse "interesting" remains with me also the finale. To write this in advance is of course not so smart, but reflects my overall impression well. If I'm already at the conclusion, it should also be said that for me the sillage and also the durability are unfortunately rather somewhat below average. With other smoke candidates, this is clearly better.

Speaking of smoke... this is just harmless and therefore accompanies rather pleasant. The smoky Tyrannos and in the finish Norne, for example, I feel as clearly dominant-smoky. May be because Black has this component only in the top note and others in the heart or base. Pepper and a green note I feel just as harmless companion and brings a light, equally necessary freshness to the spiciness. However, only to the prelude.

Licorice is immediately and strongly perceptible. This does not reveal itself later, but immediately sets its mark. Therefore, probably also the interesting overall impression, because the exotic licorice remains until the end, but after a short time also well supported by birch tar. Finally, warm cedar comes to the fore, which harmonizes just as wonderfully with the birch tar. With smoked, spicy and licorice results in a very special, final mixture.

Rather than niche fragrance designating Black is not necessarily the "ripper" at every party, but if you like this direction, a relaxed and exotic companion, with definite heaviness. Not too intrusive, but extremely interesting by the unusual mix.
Clearly unisex, the fragrance affects me only conditionally, but of all things licorice, combined with very light sweetness and the warm wood make it well.

Hit the barrel my friend
Guilty Absolute pour Homme is truly not one of the soft or even pale fragrances. Leather is really special and richly present, but very well embedded in pleasantly bold spice, wood, smoke and light oriental sweetness. In this case, the sweet touch does not ruin anything (I'm not a fan of sugar), but rather rounds off and strengthens the sillage. As a result, this combination seems animalic and seductive and has a certain dominance. If GA weren't a bit cloying, it would probably be quite heavy and borderline. Comparable in effect to a N°. XXII - Black Afghan.

If I were an animal, I would probably have set my mark with it and staked out the territory. The sillage is powerful and signals to other males, an alpha male is approaching. In the realm of men, this creation is sure to sometimes tick off or you just fall in love with this. With a grin I lean out of the window and claim, one subordinates himself to him. Well, these are just my feelings and associations.

At an alpha female I could imagine this fragrance, by the way, also isolated, the predicate "unisex" I put him but by no means out. Statements such as "Grandma's old leather bag", "50s bag" or "patch leather" already fit and also resonate clearly. Unique selling point in the leather territory and an animalic dominance would be my summary of an exotic men's fragrance.

Time deliciously hypnotized?
Jo, there had to be a comment for Yatagan. A small statement went yes already in advance.
This beautiful fragrance flitted only so past me and the more often I have dealt with him, the more he has captivated me.

Actually, I'm not at all on sweetish fragrances, but some perfumers manage to combine the individual components so that something very special is created. With Yatagan, this is so successful. Here the sweetness, combined with the oriental and animal touch has something hypnotic.... at least for me.

Unfortunately, the fragrance holds with me only mediocre and the sillage is also not the burner. With this full, warm and delicious nasal pleasure but almost beside the point. Since the fragrance was created in 1976, you can probably call him oldschool, but I think he fits wonderfully into today's time, if you have no desire for mainstream.

What makes Yatgan so delicious for me is probably the unusual and soft spice. My nose tells me clove, actually rather clove. It also smells a bit like speculoos. The brown juice also looks like it, by the way. This should also be clear, so really light and summery our friend is not...
for a cozy evening by the fireplace but a good choice. Simply wonderfully delicious.

I would also recommend this treat to young self-confident, perhaps subtle men and of course women. So quite unisex I do not sign, but the lovely nature should also appeal to women.

For me it was love at first Schnöf and a clear purchase.

1810... a timeless refreshment for the summer
For a long time I thought about whether a comment about this little water is even worth the effort. The age wrung the necessary respect from me but and so bad can not be a fragrance that is still sold worldwide today. Top class I have now truly not expected at a low price for 350ml, it could be done with this but also really nothing wrong. If the fragrance would not fit, he would get a place as a fragrance dispenser in the bathroom.

The traditional history of Clubman Pinaud begins in 1810 with Ed Pinaud, who opened his branch in Paris. The distinguished gentleman found there professional grooming products, as well as the classic barbershop range. Even today, the traditional products proudly bear the old logo, and perhaps that's why it's hip for men to wear this vintage fragrance. The growing success then made Clubman Pinaud popular internationally since around 1900. Later, the brand was bought by the Americans and continued until today.

Whether that is the reason for the soapy smell that strongly accompanies Citrus Musk, I can not answer. However, it is known that the Yanks like fresh, clean and soapy.

With Citrus Musk I hoped to be able to put something refreshing for the summer. It should have a cooling effect and act fresh and clean just after sports. Who wants the same, is well served with this fragrance. Citrus, floral garnish and especially the strong soapy touch create exactly what was desired. The experience is a bit reminiscent of fresh laundry, but I find that pleasant. The citrusy top note is gone quite quickly, soapy-floral and slightly citrusy remains for a longer moment and then the refreshing part is already over. Musk and soap then end the already quite short fun after a maximum of 4-5 hours, unless you put on with both hands properly. The goal was achieved despite mediocre durability and was thus a successful purchase.

Mega high-quality and complex the Wässerchen is not, but classic, really nicely done, smelling good and 1810 it was probably a high art to create such a fragrance. That this vintage candidate comes in a plastic bottle, I find rather embarrassing, almost disrespectful. Well, somewhere the price must come from.
At this point, the brief comparison with Capucci pour Homme is allowed, which comes in with its citrusy note clearly more crashing. Perhaps that would be a good combination for the summer. Enjoy Citrus Musk directly after sports or even during the round of golf and celebrate Capucci or Sergio Soldano for Men in the afternoon. That will then probably be the day of the classics...
