A cool head with a hot heart
Enclave begins with a real statement: mint and cardamom literally jump out at you - ice-cold, almost menthol-like, but not cheap and fresh, but sophisticated and well thought-out. This opening is like a clear head on a hot day, liberating and awake.

But then comes the turnaround. The fragrance goes deeper, becomes spicier, warmer, earthier. Vetiver brings a certain dryness, incense lays smoky over it, and the Amber Xtreme provides this intense, long-lasting warmth. Not a sweet oriental, but a modern interpretation: dark, mystical, almost meditative.

The contrast is amazing - this cool freshness that slowly fades into a warm, resinous finish. Enclave is not loud, but it is present. Not a run-of-the-mill fragrance, but a statement without being overbearing.

For me, it's not a fragrance for every day, but one for special moments. If you want to stand out... not through volume, but through character.

Fragrance with a delay - love at second smell
A shopping day in Cologne, without great expectations. A detour to a small perfumery, a little sniffing here, testing there. I actually wanted to spare my wallet this time.
Then the saleswoman, friendly and charming: "Try this on your arm".
Genetic Bliss.
I spray, smell - almost nothing. A whiff perhaps. I smile politely, think to myself: "Nice of you." And move on.

But then, outside, it happened: a subtle, woody scent grazes my nose. Warm, creamy, pleasant - like a subliminal companion. Despite the sweater, jacket and just one spray. And it stays. For hours. Even after washing my hands and arms several times, it's still there. And not just there - it lives and changes. Sometimes creamy sandalwood, then a spicy nuance, then a delicate, elegant sweetness. A back and forth.
A chameleon on my skin.

On the way back, my otherwise rather scent-neutral buddy asks me: "Does this good smell really only come from the one spray?"
I have to grin.

In the evening, the logical consequence: I ordered it.
And today I know: I have found my signature fragrance.
You came, you saw - and you won.

Summer, is that you?
So here it is, my first review. You've done it, Mefisto.

So here I sit... End of January, 2 degrees Celsius, uncomfortable weather. A few days ago, I received a small parcel with various samples. I was actually looking for a fragrance for the cold season. Without giving it much thought, a bottle of "Casamorati - Mefisto Gentiluomo | XerJoff" ended up on the order list. Perhaps thanks to a well-known Youtuber. So I came home from work and opened the package full of anticipation, hoping to get a whiff of beautiful, gourmandy sweet fragrances to at least give me a little winter feeling. The Mefisto was, of course, out of the ordinary and, in my opinion, did not fit the current season at all. Somehow, however, it reminded me of summer vacations back then... Italy. Beach. Evenings on the terrace, freshly sprayed with Autan (probably the lavender is to blame). And it was precisely this association that got so stuck in my head that I tested it again today and it immediately sent me on a plane to the south.

Arrived. In the depths of summer. This fresh, aquatic spiciness that envelops you shortly after the first spray is simply pure summer. After this freshness subsides a little, the violets and iris come to the fore, rounding off the fragrance a little and making it smoother. The musk in the drydown simply completes everything.

For me, "Casamorati - Mefisto Gentiluomo | XerJoff" is THE spring and summer fragrance for the coming season. Durability and sillage are definitely above average for me, although not "beastmode" (terrible word...)
