Unusual violet, reminded me of another favorite of mine
This could easily be inspo for perfumers when making PdF "Fior di Pane". Violets here are not so woody and piercing, but to me they have a similar edible connotation (bread, yeast). Very interesting. I was really surprised to smell this "bready" violet again. Trussardi Jeans are more wearable, discreet and subtle, and have powdery nuances, more prominent as perfume progresses.
I love Trussardi fragrances from the beginning of the 20th century, this one is no exception.
Sillage is moderate, but it's well lasting on skin. Just not very loud.
Beautiful, comforting and wearable.

Isa Bellissima
Notes here are off. Not good. Anyone who smelled this perfume even once immediately recognize tobacco, not ashtray tobacco but a warm and sweet, mild tobacco leaves. Wonderful perfume, it literally gives you a warming feeling, just enough powdery but mainly smoky and tobacco on my skin. Very sexy, feminine, alluring and mature (not in a vintage way). Winter and fall fragrance.

Maybe not every love starts at first sight
What to say about "Sparkling Sand"? Someone said this fragrance is a chameleon, and I agree. When I first bought it and sprayed it on my hand, I was so disappointed: all I could smell was this bitter, herbal smell thanks to artemisia / mugwort/ pelin plant.

Where is this sparkling sand under my feet, on a dusky summer evening?

All other notes were "no brainer" for me, I love chamomile, iris, apricot, leather... But I just couldn't go pass this bitter opening.

Yesterday, my husband sprayed it on and room was immediately full of wonderful, powdery, comforting fragrance. Powdery aspect is not to be ignored, iris is very present and chamomile too. Apricot is dormant and not loud.

Leather and incense work perfectly to make unisex composition, albeit very powdery one.

Bottle is heavy, magnetic cap of great quality and you can really smell fine, different and refined perfume in this one. Longevity is super, sillage is in "I'm here, folks" category.

Fine fragrance. Maybe not mass-appealing and a crowd pleaser, but a surprisingly odd and niche juice.

Italia, mon amour
Well, what to say... I've come upon a miniature online and bought it. Beautiful bottle intrigued my imagination for quite some time and I was wondering is it justified to buy a full bottle of this snow-globe like, magically packaged fragrance.
I must open with a disclaimer: I'm not sure in what state is my mini, I bought it over eBay. That being said, here goes my impressions of Souvenir d'Italie .
Strong alcoholic opening, quickly settles down. Top notes are deep and fruity without being gourmand or sweet or edible, but very fleeting. They last only couple of whiffs to take and enjoy. (Maybe that's because my mini is a bit old and top notes are disintegrated a bit?) After just a couple of minutes, I enter into what's this perfume is really about - wonderful cardamom that gives it a smoky (I often perceive woody and spicy notes as smoky), warm and spicy note.
In this phase, it's really wonderful, charming, mature and sexy fragrance, office friendly, wearable any time of the year, but maybe better in colder days or evenings.
It's nicely blended, nothing "pops out" as unbalanced or screechy. White flowers an wisteria give it a luscious quality but only as a "second violin" to the cardamom. It never gets sweet, it's mostly fruity (but for a very short time) and then wonderfully woody and warm spicy. (Just like Jessica Simpsons Fancy love, I get this sexy smokiness - like a dusky sunset after a really hot summer day...Maybe I'm crazy.)
Longevity? Well, not a bombastic one. It won't last more than 3-4 hours (at least a splash version), so you'll need to reapply throughout the day. It's not loud either, it stays close to the body, but once again, I've tested only splash (no sprayer).
Nevertheless, really beautiful fragrance from the beginning of the century. For me, definitely full bottle worthy, even on "discontinued fragrance" prices.

Strawberry, all day long
Sweet, candy sweet from the start. You can't miss strawberry candy, but it's not saccharine or thick fragrance, i guess thanks to the fruity top notes. Drydown is nice, warm and much more cozy, vanilla and more strawberry, milky strawberry. On my skin, this fragrance is eternal. I applied it around 8 am and can smell it still around 10 pm. And that's just one spritz on each arm. Last phase it's mostly vanilla musk. You get a real performer for the price, but you need to love strawberry in a scent.
