Sweet and fruity yet smooth

I wouldn't blame anyone for seeing the notes of this fragrance and expecting a sickly sweet, over the top perfume. I'm sure by some standards it could be, but I agree with the many other reviews here that point out how well-grounded this fragrance is by the subtle vanilla and amber, the fresh zing of the green orange (kind of an oxymoron isn't it?), and the soft powdery floral from the gardenia. Ultimately strawberry candy is the star of the show, but I do think that the blackcurrant is obvious and balances it really well. Still a sweet gourmand but without being overpowering (especially as it dries down and you get more complexity). To me this feels like a slightly more grown-up version of those insanely sweet and fruity body sprays that were popular in the 00s and 10s, still really fun and intense but with a lot more going on.

Strawberry, all day long

Sweet, candy sweet from the start. You can't miss strawberry candy, but it's not saccharine or thick fragrance, i guess thanks to the fruity top notes. Drydown is nice, warm and much more cozy, vanilla and more strawberry, milky strawberry. On my skin, this fragrance is eternal. I applied it around 8 am and can smell it still around 10 pm. And that's just one spritz on each arm. Last phase it's mostly vanilla musk. You get a real performer for the price, but you need to love strawberry in a scent.

Sweet and Fresh…Not a Dupe!

Make no mistake, this is NOT a dupe of anything. It is an original creation that is sweet yet retains some freshness from the green mandarin. It has a fizzy like quality to it that prevents it from being cloying in its sweetness, making it great in the heat / humidity of summer (I tried it in NYC) and I can imagine across other temps. It’s been 3 days I enjoy wearing it on its own and also layered. Lattafa did a fantastic job working with two perfumers to bring this to life. Again, it’s an original creation and NOT a dupe! Ladies, get it!

Overwhelming at first; I honestly thought I was going to end up with a headache. It’s very sweet, very artificial strawberry. Do I get strawberry laces? Yes. Not so much the fizzy kind though. The gardenia is there throughout in the background. After about 30 mins it settles down into a more creamy vanilla-strawberry. I like it better at this point. It turns musky and a touch powdery as it starts to fade out.

Projection is strong to start with, then moderate once the mid notes take over. Longevity is good. When all is said and done I’m reminded slightly of Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, but it’s by no means a dupe. The opening on the Kayali is 100% more tolerable.

I’ll happily revisit this one; it’s worth a try if you like sweet fruity scents and can tolerate the brief chemical warfare of the opening. I’m on the fence when it comes to “maceration”, but it’ll be interesting to see whether that improves at all over time.

Bright, delicious, girly

I love this one so much! It's so bright and the strawberry candy definitely shines here. It is a synthetic smell, but that doesn't deter me here at all. I layer it with a vanilla oil to add a little more depth as for some reason I don't really get the syrup/musk/amber/sandalwood at all??? But she does STAY brightly scented. Perfect for spring and summer.
