Sweet flower power with depth
I smelled this fragrance in Grasse at Fragonard for the first time and immediately he had to go :-)

It is sweet and floral and yes, some days it is too sweet for me, but the composition is neatly done well and the notes harmonize perfectly on my skin.
I can wear it in any season. In summer it's floral and cheerful, in winter it's deep and festive. The tonka bean comes out beautifully on my skin after a while. Also, the mandarin with the cinnamon make the fragrance quite suitable for winter.
I'm not a big jasmine fan when it's too strong, but here I find it wonderful as a support to the heliotrope, which my nose smells the most.

The scent has earned me a compliment or two in the office and if used sparingly, it's definitely not a headache candidate. Two sprays bring me easily through a 10 hour day.

You can argue about the bottle, but the fact is, it is functional, as it protects against light and short-lived temperature fluctuations. I have the fragrance for 10 years and the first years he stood with me against my better judgment in the bathroom. He still smells like the first day :-)

Gourmandy-vanilla Christmas scent
I ordered this fragrance blind - the fragrance notes have interested me, the name has fascinated me and I must admit, the packaging has done the rest. I could only hope that it would not be a misstep (at the price...).

First, about the packaging. I knew from various videos already how the Merchant of Venice fragrances are packaged, but when I got my own copy then, I was still speechless. The first thought that came to me when unpacking was: This is perfection!
The red and gold packaging is high quality and inside you'll also find a map of the ancient trade routes of Venice. Then finally the centerpiece - on golden fabric lies the bottle; a red color gradient like a sunset. A small gold leaf with the name is attached to the top. If you want to grumble at a high level, the cap is a bit more unspectacular compared to the bottle, but still, here you see, The Merchant of Venice shows an incredible attention to detail and to what they do: extremely promising for the fragrance...

The scent: I first smelled the bottle and a smile conjured itself on my face. Yes, I like it! Vanilla. The first and most dominant note that revealed itself to me. I sprayed it (just one spray mind you) and was blown away. Yes, it's vanilla. But first and foremost, I wouldn't call it sweet, I would call it spicy. It smells feminine to me, but I can imagine it coming across a bit differently on men. I detect a cinnamon note, for example, which could possibly add some spiciness to the whole thing. The smoky notes are perceptible and together with the rum (don't worry, you don't smell like you have a flag, more like you are wearing a very classy perfume) I immediately had the association "Christmas". Unfortunately, the Andalusian feeling is missing for me, but that doesn't matter at all.
From my collection, it most closely resembles "Whispers in the library", but is still so much more layered and exciting. It's definitely a gourmand scent, you have to like that, but I don't think it smells like something you've smelled umpteen times before. A fragrance, for me, not for everyday wear, but for fall and winter evenings or special occasions. Or if you just want to feel cozy-Christmas :-)

H/S: After the one spray to test the whole room still smelled some time after the perfume. On myself, the Durft held the whole day and was very perceptible. From my collection in Punkto H/S definitely the highest quality. For me, it is worth its price and even if you pay for the packaging, it was worth it to me, the unpacking alone is an experience and I always reach for the packaging and also can not stop smelling the bottle. It makes addicted :-)

I will definitely take a closer look at the other fragrances of the brand.

Mediterranean Feeling
When I received the long-awaited bottling and sniffed it, I was immediately catapulted into my childhood - vacation on the Mediterranean. Images of fig trees on small hills, the sun on my neck and the sea on the horizon, that's what I see when I smell Philosykos and close my eyes.

Have him without a comment then also under the nose of my sister and asked: What does this remind you of? Her first reaction: vacation!

The fragrance starts for me through and through with fig. Then something green mixes in, but that quickly withdraws a little, to then finally trigger this holiday feeling. Unisex it is all the time, I do not like too masculine fragrances on me, but since this fragrance is neither feminine nor masculine, but simply like the nature of the Mediterranean, it can really be worn by everyone.

A comparison to the EDP:
Again, I have a sample and have tested the EDT and the EDP on one arm each.
In my opinion they both start very similar, I couldn't name a difference if I didn't know. The EDP then becomes less green, rather a little woody but after an hour they both smell the same again on my skin. Also the longevity is exactly the same on my skin, so for me the more expensive EDP would not be worth it. Both I perceive about 4 hours.

Conclusion: The EDT is on my list for summer fragrances at the top :-)

Cosy reading evening in front of the fireplace
As a book lover, the name catapulted me straight into hopeful scent imaginings, so I then bought the fragrance blindly.
I love smelling books, old or new, and yes, I also love the somewhat musty smell of old libraries.
To say it right up front, "Whispers in the Library" smells so not like a library to me, or even like books.
And now comes the big but :-) The scent may not remind you of the smell of libraries, but it reminds you of the feeling I get when I read, which formed in my childhood with happy evenings of reading with hot cocoa, and which I now, as an adult, feel again and again when I pick up a book.
A delicate scent of fireplace and vanilla embraces you and accompanies you through the quite a few adventures we get to experience on the pages. It protects and warms you when the story gets stormy and dangerous.
The smoky note fades very quickly into the background with me and remains a cozy vanilla, which is not sweet, but rather woody. With my husband, however, the smoky note remains and so the fragrance adapts perfectly, with me it smells very feminine, perfect for a cozy winter evening and with my husband a bit like in a snowed-in wooden hut with fireplace :-) both fragrances are just wonderful!
However, it must be said that the durability is really not very high, I perceive the scent 3-4 hours on me and generally it is not a fragrance that people notice if they do not come very close to you. But that does not matter to me, for me it is a feel-good fragrance and if I perceive him, that's enough for me completely :-)
