The Bugatti of the perfume industry
Creed Aventus - The LEGEND

I always wanted to know what Aventus smells like, so about 2 years ago I got his biggest clone - Armaf CDNIM (2018 version, EXTREMELY better than the current Armaf batches!, got a lot of compliments and everyone thought it was Aventus - at least those who know Aventus)

Now that I currently own over 30 perfumes, started with Zara Parfums (I can't believe that I did something like that :D), moved on to designer fragrances and now I've also immersed myself in the niche world recently (and I must say it's just different when you wear Amouage, Parfums de Marly, Tiziana Terenzi, Xerjoff or even office for men by Jeremy Fragrance, which I find absolutely awesome no matter what the hater thinks!) I have decided to put an end to my perfume addiction, which is caused by the luminary Jeremy Fragrance :)

That's why I decided to get the legend I was missing. Directly in the Oberpollinger in Munich, because I knew about the alleged batch problems that were circulating in the internet and I didn't want to take the risk of a bad shelf life, sillage etc.

So I chose the batch 19U01 (100ml), which according to various forums should be the best batch from 2019 and have a very good silage and durability.

I applied 6 sprayers of Aventus this morning at 07:45, one of them on the left hand, one spray of CDNIM for direct comparison on the right hand.

At the opening, Aventus is clearly the winner, CDNIM (2018) smells greenish, mossy, woody, Aventus smells like pineapple. After a good 1 hour they both reached the drydown and I must honestly admit that CDNIM smells 95% like Aventus. You can say that CDNIM is the young Aventus, so for the youth and the OG for the more mature society. The difference is marginal, but can be smelled. But the fact that so many people don't know any perfumes at all and don't know Aventus (which really amazes me so much) means that they can't tell the difference.

I also let my work colleague smell on both my hands after 5 hours and he said, both smell the same
(in my head I thought 300€ vs 30€ yes moin must go :) ) But it is really the truth. Nevertheless he smelled the Sillage of Aventus on my clothes and my neck very well and liked the scent! Phew, lucky.

However, there is a difference: If you wear Aventus, you show something to the outside - you and your personality.
It's like clocks: Are you wearing the original Patek Phillippe Nautilus or the Fake Patek? It's the same with other niche fragrances like Layton, Accento, Jubilation Man 25, Kirkè, Reflection Man etc. You just feel different and this fact alone, besides the beautiful design of the Aventus bottle, was worth 285€ to me

Also astonishing: Really with no other fragrance has it happened to me that I hardly/not at all notice and smell it in the meantime, but my surroundings do. Except I smell directly at the point of spraying, but that's not the point. With all of them I notice even after 8 hours a scent cloud around me (especially with Layton and Jubilation Man 25 which are also 2 mega scents). Funny, don't know why that is so, but nevertheless my environment takes it very well!

I also tested Aventus at 30 degrees heat in Munich's Maximilianstraße, where the buildings and streets made it even warmer and you really sweated. Got to say that you shouldn't use Aventus in brutal heat, it doesn't look as good as a totally fresh (and on clothes over 48h without joke!!!) lasting scent like PdM Percival.

All in one you can say the following about the Aventus Batch 19U01:

Sillage: 7h very good Sillage, 2 more h a good one until he smells very close (environment takes him somehow anyway :) )

Shelf life: spray it on in the morning, you can still smell it on your skin the next day after you got up

Fragrance: IMPOSSIBLE DNA, this fragrance is the hammer! So balanced, masculine, seductive, simply perfect!

Price: very expensive, but you buy it 1x and good is. With over 30 perfumes in my collection I will own the min for another 5 years and honestly: Better 300€ for 100 ml Aventus than the same money for alcohol, cigarettes or drugs! I see a good perfume as an investment, not an expense. Imagine you are approached because of your perfume, a relationship develops (love-technical/business) and you owe it to the perfume that made this possible in the first place? Sounds incredible, doesn't it? That's why I see it that way and because of that, although I'm a STUDENT, it's not hard for me to spend so much money on a perfume

But if you still want to smell like Aventus at a reasonable price, I think you have no chance, because:

Zara Vibrant Leather - evaporates after 20 min, absolutely synthetic and scrap.

Armaf CDNIM - meanwhile really bad in contrast to the 2018 he batch...very synthetic, very weak and does not last long..

MontBlanc Explorer - Durability also bad and smells artificial.

So when you get Aventus, watch out for the batch to be on the safe side, so the scent lasts a long time and projects great. I'm happy to have bought it and I'm also happy because this way I could finally complete my perfume collection and put an end to my addiction to awesome scents for a long time :)

Meanwhile 11 hours have passed since the spraying and Aventus keeps rising from my left hand up into my nose and it feels so incredibly good!

The Bugatti Chiron of the perfume industry is finally standing in the garage next to all the Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Porsches. The final level has been reached. And it was, is and will remain worth every cent to me.

P.S.: Got a question for you: How often do you notice other men wearing perfume? To be honest, I hardly evereeeee that anybody smells good (except women, that's for sure :) ), but sooooo many men seem to wear either no perfume at all or only very bad perfumes, which vanish quickly. What are your experiences? Write it in the comments, I would be really interested! Thanks! :)
