Are my senses completely broken?
Yes, what should I start with?
During the Esxence in Milan, I made a detour to Guerlain in the city.
So, completely unbiased by Parfumo, I tested Péche Mirage. The fragrance stayed with me, first on the test strip and then on my skin.
So I took it with me straight away, including the engraving.
When I arrived at the hotel, I thought I'd check Parfumo to see if people were as enthusiastic about the fragrance as I was. Then I was astonished to see that the reviews were rather poor or very mixed. Which at first makes you think things like: Was it a bad decision after all?
However, this shows me that you should go to perfumeries much more often with an open mind, without informing yourself beforehand. Because in the end, the fragrance has to be perfect for you!
Sure, it's not a typical Guerlain with extreme depth, but for me it's an absolutely brilliant peach fragrance with a hint of clean/soft leather. It was certainly not Guerlain's aim here to create a very complex fragrance.
It doesn't feel synthetic on my skin either, and it gets even better in drydown.
Take your favorite iced peach tea with ice cubes, sit on the new suede sofa placed in the sunlight, and this is what you get.
