Stopped by ASQ in Doha, I thought I have tried all Oud types until I tried Kalakasi...Pure insanity people... this is different level perfumery. To contextualize, Kalakasi puts FM The Moon, The Night, and Ombre Nomade in the back seat. Very wearable and extremely sophisticated Oud blend, starts with incensey Oud, but magic starts after 15 minutes or so. My wallet is hurting but I am over the moon to have this in my collection.

P.S. Notes listed here are not precise, "Indian Oud" in mid and base is actually Kalakasi Oud--an 80 year aged Oud from Kalaka Mountain (finest Oud money can buy)

To me this resembles a walk in holly Mecca bazaar, Oud shops such as Arabian Oud and Abdul Samad Al Qurashi burning gorgeous Indian Oud wood that gets you gravitated towards, a sight of white clouds coming from their outdoors "Mabkhara" that compels you to walk towards their shops only to start picking up other notes including rose and fruity notes of their perfumeries, mixed with the smell of wood and leather you get from antique shops on the way. It's a journey, an Andy Tauer's like tale of Mesopotamia written in perfumery. A masterpiece that is quite different from other PDM's Niche-Designer schizophrenia.
