Blind Buy. According to reviews "sexy, wicked and special, niche": I could not resist, even if a quiet voice in the back of the head already gave cause for concern that I actually do not like orange blossom, because a cloud of it likes to manifest itself as a migraine with headache and nausea (Hello "Armani Code pour Femme", you trauma!). And pepper has never been my favorite spice either...

Excitedly unpacked, first spray in the air and already nose wrinkling: That's but neat orange-floral and something bites there. - Is that the pepper? But well, the stuff is paid, so off with it on the wrist. Disappointment settles in. The pepper is exciting, but helps the orange blossom unleash its headache potential. The vanilla rice in the base is great - exceptional and not at all mainstream gourmand. I wonder if that's enough to make me endure the white florals?

Alright, comes first in the collection, we can deal with each other again later. Various sniffers at the bottle and air sprayer is certain: not really bad, but friends we will no longer. Off with it into the Aufbrauch-/Verschenkkörbchen.

And then it came, the cold spring day, on which I wanted to justify various new purchases once again "use up" something, I could give away him in the weeks before then but somehow not. And what happened? During a stressful day at work, a creamy, slightly powdery, very feminine and in a positive sense fancy fragrance with recognition value kept coming to me. No headache, no nausea, no stinging! The pepper suddenly no longer scratches the nose, but gives depth to the vanilla ice cream. No nice cuddly gourmand, but confident, stylish sexiness with some fire, good longevity and a sillage that doesn't take up the whole room, but is clearly perceptible to those who are allowed closer to me despite the Corona. Also the next day together and the day after have more than made up for the disappointment of the first time, nasty migraine orange blossom has never returned.

In the right corner (on the right arm): Lancôme's "Ôud Bouquet" (OB). On the left, the challenger "Shaghaf Oud" (SO), traded as the perfect dupe.

Conclusion up front:
Not a perfect dupe, but the differences are on my skin only in direct comparison to erschnuppern. But the two Ouds are very similar, so SO can pass as a much cheaper alternative with equal durability and sillage. In both cases, one pulls the same, clearly perceptible fragrance trail behind him...

With SO, the "medical" of the oud is more present in the first moment, with OB comes immediately powdery-vanilla rose with, which makes the oud softer already in the top note and recedes faster. Overall, OB is a bit more refined, round, sweet, gourmand in my nose, SO on the other hand is more one-dimensional with slightly more concise oud. Even though an untrained nose can probably hardly smell out any differences, I end up liking OB better. In any case, you don't need both if you can already call OB your own. If you are still looking for an olfactory upgrade to SO, a test smelling of OB can be worthwhile.

Side Effect and Rehab are terribly pungent and unfortunately nauseating on my skin, Blessed Barakka takes some getting used to and I still have to smell my way into Oud for Greatness, so I was not very hopeful about Atomic Rose, especially since I'm not a rose fan at all. Since Delina and Delina Exclusif but were complete surprises for me this year and have conquered my heart by storm, I had to give then but the "older sister" a chance.

And lo and behold, this is the only Initio so far, which could fully convince me. At the beginning comes out on my skin very clearly the Delina DNA, so I almost wanted to dismiss him, because I do not need another number 3 in my collection. But in the base Atomic Rose becomes very different from the powdery-vanilla drydown Delina Exclusif, which I also like a lot, namely a hint of "salty" in my nose, but not "sea"-salty, but spicy-salty and very addictive. Reminds me a bit of Schubeck's vanilla salt in my spice drawer. Durability and Sillage are top, but to this my Vorredner*rinnen have already explained too enough.

Conclusion: You need determined nich all three from the family, but really "need" one does not perfume anyway. For me as a perfume junkie, the three roses have their rightful place in my collection and I have for each a very specific "use scenario", a mood in which I want to wear it. Atomic Rose is the most grown-up of the three, similarly sexy as Delina Exclusif, but more stylish, a little less cuddly, but more profound.

I was really excited and totally happy when I was allowed to hold the filling of a dear Parfuma after not even 24 hours in the hands. But shortly after spraying it on, an almost pungent, sweet bubblegum note develops on my skin and dominates everything. No lavender (which I love and was hoping for), a bit of sandalwood, but mostly sweet, brown bubble gum stripes as in the first seconds in my mouth. Oh woe... :-(
