A fragrance to feel good

While looking for a spring scent to spruce up 2021 a bit, I came across Cassili. The reviews and research on this fragrance convinced me.
So did not think twice and ordered it blind.
The packaging is kept rather simple, yet high quality workmanship.
The flacon is - I would say - a matter of taste. I was totally surprised that the lid is occupied with a stone.
Now to the fragrance.
- Every cent was worth it!
The fragrance starts something very fruity, but that evaporates after 2-4 minutes.
Rose joins in and they become a pleasant soft unit that invites you to dream.
Vanilla sneaks up from behind, takes the fruit notes by the hand and says goodbye.

In the end, we are left with a warm, delicate peach with a slightly sweet vanilla and a tonka bean that gives balance.

An absolute blind-buy canidate.

Peach melba

The start here is yellow-fleshed, lusciously sweet, overripe, a tad before fermentation and fruit alcohol. Yeah, just like that! Where Delina has a lot of rosy freshness, sour rabbarber and is tangy sweet, Cassili is even more fruity, sweet and a little bit spicier- vanilla, without freshness, without tangy acidity and for me also less rosy or even flowery.
Rather so gourmand, dessert: ice cream, pudding or peach candy.
Maybe I will discover its advantages in autumn, now in midsummer almost a horror, while Delina is wonderfully wearable.

Freshly picked peaches in the south of France

Cassili was also in my Parfums de Marly Discovery set. I was very excited to be able to test this fragrance as I had heard a lot of good things.

At the first spray I was immediately in love. I clearly smell peaches, although none are listed. For me, it initially smells like juicy peaches that you pick fresh from the tree while still holding a bouquet of flowers in your hand. The white blossoms go perfectly with the peach.

After a while, I can detect a very delicate tonka bean, which rounds off this fruity scent perfectly.
I really must save this fragrance for my next summer vacation, otherwise I'll have to get a bottle ;)

Summer in a bottle

There is no apricot or peach in the notes, but that's the first thing I smell in the opening A sweet, powdery scent that is very feminine and makes you release happy hormones.
The vanilla hides on my skin for the first 30min, then it comes out and makes the scent creamier, softer and rounder.
A wonderful fragrance for spring and summer.
The only thing that bothers me is the sillage.

Cassili - the fragrance that is unjustly in Delina's shadow

There are so many beautiful fragrances.
Floral, powdery, a huge variety.
Nevertheless, I have never smelled anything among the many that smells like Cassili.
In my opinion, the fragrance is unique and totally underrated.
Especially since the Delinas are the fragrances that are treated as the highlights of PdM in the women's fragrance segment, the ones that everyone talks about. Cassili gets lost in the shuffle. Logical, but a shame.
In my opinion, the fragrance has a lot to offer!

As for the fragrance itself: it starts off wonderfully fruity for me, almost a little sour with this great note of redcurrants. It also has a little bit, just a little bit, of peach, even if it's not listed. Possibly also a figment of the delicate peach-colored bottle. The flowers, a light rose quite present, are a perfect match. For me, the heart and base merge relatively seamlessly. After the blackcurrant start, frangipani in particular takes over with its beguilingly beautiful and exotic scent. I'm not sure whether I can smell plum directly.
Overall, however, this results in a progression from fruity-sour-sweet to floral-slightly powdery to tonka bean and vanilla, which conjure up a soft, almost dessert cream-like and wonderful feel-good fragrance.

Longevity and sillage are decent in the first few hours, after about 2-3 hours it becomes closer to the skin, but remains easily perceptible for another 6 hours. I see it in spring and early summer, when it can really shine.

And although PdM is unfortunately not in the fragrance price range that I really enjoy, Cassili will remain number 1 on my wish list until it does find its way into my collection at some point because I find it so beautiful and unique.
