Melipone

I get a kind of vodka note in the opening, then a very dark vetiver. No blackcurrant, no jasmine. This is a bit confusing.

This is 70% Opium and 30% Cabochard. And I don't know what to think about it!

This shares a lot of similarities with Eau Parfumée au Thé Noir also from Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, another gem.

I get a massive dose of ISO E super and ambroxan. An intriguing smell of paper, but not much tobacco. Practically no top notes.

Once the memorable top notes start fading (about 1 hour in), to me this leans towards a rougher Leather Oud.
