Fragrance of grappa wood barrel with lipstick
For me, it's an extraordinary fragrance. The steam of highly concentrated carrot iris and the other components create a scent of grappa wood barrels.
Without having read the fragrance pyramid, I would not have come across Grappa on my own, but always thought: Somehow from where do you know this smell ...

Besides the iris, the main actors are probably bitter almond, beeswax and fir. But since the grappa note superimposes everything, I have difficulties perceiving the fir tree individually, for example.

When I'm not thinking about grappa, I also smell a limy lipstick note.

Strong fragrance with good sillage. Lasts more than 24 hours.

I got a sample at an exchange and am very grateful to the friendly Parfuma for this fragrance experience.

Vanilla Musk Sandalwood Cream
At first I didn't smell anything but vanilla and found it a bit boring, although I already like vanilla a lot and don't have it yet

Like Maggy4u I didn't smell anything aquatic or jasmine and was very happy about it.

After about half an hour the vanilla gets drier and drier - I don't think it's sweet from the start. A light floral fruity scent is very pleasant and creamy. I don't think the perfume's fresh. And sandalwood and musk I can perceive better and better. This smells right for more than 10 hours class with decreasing Sillage.

I am not head over heels in love, but very glad that I took part in the sharing.

Powdery Mint Vanilla Perfume
In the beginning I ask myself: Who wants to smell like peppermint gum?

After testing this EdP for the third time, I answer this question by saying that I probably do

When the first 10 minutes are over, the fragrance turns into a pleasant sandy mint vanilla note with coconut, melon and wood in the background. And it lasts quite well for a few hours.

In my third test, I had sprayed "Capri Forget Me Not" on the other wrist for comparison because it was the only scent I had at home that also contained peppermint. The two perfumes have nothing to do with each other. "Capri Forget Me Not" is a cool, elegant fragrance with citric notes, while "What I Did On My Holidays" is soft and powdery. I like it.

Carrot iris with vanilla cedar wood - not dark at all
It doesn't fit into a statement, so I write my first comment.

Luca Turin gave this fragrance only 2 stars. But for me it's the best iris perfume I've tested so far (admitted: I'm still at the beginning). What did he write? Strangely dark combination of iris and cedar in quite decent quantities. Smells o.k. to him, but is too expensive.

Which he's right about: There's a lot in here. Anyone like me who is looking for the full drone of dust-dry carrot iris without flowery accessories will find what they're looking for here. In Irisss by Xerjoff the rose disturbed me, in Iris-Cendre the violet ... Nothing here distracts. Yes and there is no course, but in this case I think it's just good.

The vanilla cedar makes the smell warmer, softer, more beautiful, more interesting and fits really well. Makes it a feel-good scent.

Which is where I agree with him: That's pretty expensive. I don't know if that's necessary.
