A Touch of Kyrgyzstan: "Atmah" by Caron

The traditional French house Caron is expanding its portfolio with "Atmah", a unisex fragrance that invites you on an olfactory journey through the vast landscapes of Kyrgyzstan.

In the glow of a mineral landscape, the light pirouettes over silvery steppes. The sky stretches wide and clear, a canvas for the soul. The air hums with crystalline freshness, infused with new energy, like a gentle breeze touching the skin. Space and time seem to stand still in the sublimity of the surroundings. A moment is created in which tangible freedom takes shape.

The opening is invigorating with CO₂ Orpur® pink pepper, which gives the fragrance a fresh, spicy accent. At the heart, jasmine Rosyfolia® and tuberose unfold into a lush floral accord, surrounded by vanilla CO₂ Orpur®. In the base, Akigalawood®, ambrette seed Orpur® and Ambrofix™ lend depth and warmth to the creation, while vetiver Orpur® and white musk provide a clear, woody signature.

"Atmah" was created by the British perfumer Louise Turner, who works for Givaudan, one of the world's leading houses for fragrances and aromas.

An olfactory journey to Kyrgyzstan

Creative Director Olivia de Rothschild describes "Atmah" as an expression of the "elegance of the soul". The name goes back to the Sanskrit word Ātman, which means "soul", "inner self" or "being", and is also reminiscent of a cruising yacht that her great-great-grandfather Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired in 1898. Both references stand for freedom, consciousness and the spirit of discovery  - values that the fragrance is also intended to embody.

De Rothschild found her inspiration in the landscapes of Kyrgyzstan, whose clear air and open horizons convey a sense of peace and freedom. The focus is on a reinterpreted vanilla that is elegant, minimalist and free from gourmand sweetness.

The new fragrance is available in bottle sizes of 30, 50 and 100 ml.
