Botanical Fragrance Worlds: Flora Danica's First Perfume Collection

The Danish label Flora Danica enters the perfume market with four Eaux de Parfum inspired by the botanical reference work Flora Danica.

1761 - An ode to the birth of new ideas

1761 - the year in which FLORA DANICA appeared - inspires a fragrance full of creative energy that captures the fascinating moment in which a new idea is born. This homage to the pioneers who constantly challenge the boundaries of our world combines radiant freshness with precious woods and is as ambivalent as a unique encounter.

The composition of "1761" unfolds with a refreshing blend of lemon, black pepper and cardamom, followed by a warm, spicy core with notes of clary sage and cedar. Finally, the fragrance journey ends in a powerful, woody base of patchouli and oak, accompanied by balsamic, spicy frankincense extract.

Soul Garden  - A wild garden in the rain and the intimacy of a Nordic home

This fragrance captures the moment of perfection when we enjoy time: one drop, then two, then three...

"Soul Garden" opens with an invigorating blend of aquatic notes, verbena and pink pepper. To capture the sweet, warm aromas of a garden, notes of elderberry, orange blossom and rum unfold in the heart. In the base, amber and vetiver add depth to the fragrance, while white musk and cistus add a sweet and sensual dimension.

Flower Muse - A modern and lively reinterpretation of florality

This fragrance transports you to the fresh Nordic air and the flora of Denmark, where wild nature blossoms in all its glory.

The first spritz of "Flower Muse" exudes a sweet blend of mandarin, fragrant sweet pea and pink pepper, accompanied by an aromatic, floral heart note of lavender, iris, poppy and jasmine tea. The composition is rounded off with a warm and sensual base note of sandalwood, amber and white musk.

Amber Echo - The memories of a dreamlike late summer

The composition evokes the feeling of salty skin being dried by the warming sun after a refreshing dip in the sea.

"Amber Echo" opens with a spicy, sweet combination of ginger and pink berries, spiced with a hint of pink pepper. Jasmine, carrot seed and angelica seed unfold at the heart of the composition, lending the fragrance a delicate, sweet nuance. Finally, a warm accord of frankincense, myrrh and white musk provides a sensual finish.

The four unisex fragrances were created through the collaboration of perfumers Ilias ErmenidisOlivier Cresp und Nathalie Lorson.

Flora Danica

The young perfume label Flora Danica draws its inspiration from over 250 years of Danish cultural heritage - the Flora Danica. This 18th century botanical plate work was produced as part of a project to document Denmark's native flora. The starting signal was given in 1752 under the direction of Georg Christian Oeder, a royal professor and director of the botanical garden in Copenhagen. Well-known artists such as Georg Dionysius Ehret and Johann Wilhelm Weinmann brought the recorded plants to life with their illustrations. The first edition of the work was published in 1761, but it took 120 years for all 3200 drawings of Flora Danica to be published.

As a tribute to the beauty and diversity of nature, the label's vegan unisex fragrances consist of up to 92 percent natural ingredients and are refillable.

The new fragrances are available in flacon sizes of 50 and 100 ml.
