Flowers for Future: The new Artist Collection by Thomas De Monaco

Flowers for Future: The new Artist Collection by Thomas De Monaco

With the three unisex fragrances "Jade Amour", "Fleur Danger" and "Neo Eden", the Zurich-based perfume house Thomas De Monaco is opening a new chapter: the Artist Collection.

The Artist Collection will be powerful, it will be colorful, but never in the way you expect. That's what I love most - when something emerges from the silence where no one is looking. You can't force this moment. It takes constant pressure, a patience that lasts, gentle touches, day after day. On the surface, it looks calm. But there is a depth, there is a weight. The kind of tension that makes you search for what lies beneath.

Silver as the leitmotif of the collection

Silver is the leitmotif of the new line - a symbol of reflection, change and transformation. Under the title "Flowers for Future", the Artist Collection poses the question of what the flowers of tomorrow might smell like. They were developed by a new generation of perfumers, while Thomas De Monaco is the creative driving force behind the line.

Since 2020, the photographer has gained international attention with fragrances such as "Raw Gold" and has given the brand a unique profile with his experimental, always artistic style. While the Gold Collection was still characterized by emotions and origins, the new collection looks ahead: to movement, curiosity and the freedom of experimentation. It will celebrate its premiere on September 13 at Pitti Fragranze in Florence.

Jade Amour - Between freshness, blossoms and warmth

Jade Amour is new, but holding it here feels like holding a piece of tomorrow. It’s a reminder that I’m not alone – that we’re all creating this together, with every bit of laughter and every shared effort. A small moment of happiness, knowing that what we create today will find its place in the world tomorrow.

Created by perfumer David Chieze, "Jade Amour" is inspired by the Liane de Jade (jade wine) - a plant of hypnotic beauty whose flowers, however, have no scent of their own. Chieze thought about how it could smell: luminous, sensual and intimate.

The composition combines the sparkling freshness of bergamot and mandarin with an abstract jade accord. Egyptian jasmine absolute and Comorian ylang-ylang unfold a floral intensity that is warmly enveloped by bourbon vanilla absolute, Australian sandalwood and Haitian vetiver. Finally, gentle musky nuances lend the fragrance a soft finish.

Fleur Danger - A flower of tension and contrast

Fleur Danger is desire, held in suspense. A reminder that the most powerful things are always just out of reach – waiting for you somewhere ahead. And maybe that is where the real beauty is – always in the longing, always in the things yet to come.

The idea behind "Fleur Danger" is a flower that only exists in the imagination - tangible and yet never quite in your grasp. To translate this image olfactorily, perfumer Ugo Charron brought together cool and warm facets.

Pink pepper, saffron and steel nuances open the composition with striking spiciness. This is followed by notes of rum absolute and raspberry, which provide a warm sweetness and additional depth. A powerful base of Indian sandalwood, gurjun balsam, Suederal® and orcanox brings the fragrance to a close.

Neo Eden - Between movement and permanence

"Neo Eden" is the debut of the young perfumer Augustin Lemiere. The fragrance is intended to capture the vision of a garden beyond the familiar laws of nature, where reality and fantasy meet again and again.

I was traveling all year. Waking up in new places, old places, sometimes not sure where the day would begin. But every day felt the same in one way - there was always a table, a few objects, light sliding through the window. Neo Eden became my anchor, quietly present wherever I landed.

In "Neo Eden", the tangy, tart note of rhubarb and the fruity, cool freshness of frosted peach merge. Magnolia and mimosa absolute set bright, floral accents that are deepened by modern molecules: Nympheal® brings in an aquatic-floral lightness, while Sclarene provides structure with green-woody facets. Cashmeran, Haitian vetiver and a creamy note of cream lend the composition warmth, depth and a velvety texture.

The new fragrances will be available in a 50 ml bottle size.
