Interesting Facts

The Danish perfume label Flora Danica draws its inspiration from over 250 years of Danish cultural heritage, the Flora Danica. This 18th-century botanical tableau was created as part of a project to document Denmark's indigenous plant splendour. The project was launched in 1752 under the direction of Georg Christian Oeder, royal professor and director of the Copenhagen Botanical Gardens. Famous artists such as Georg Dionysius Ehret and Johann Wilhelm Weinmann brought the plants to life with their illustrations. The first edition of the work was published in 1761, but it took 120 years for all 3200 drawings in Flora Danica to be published.

The label's unisex fragrances pay homage to the beauty and diversity of nature. They contain up to 92% natural ingredients and are refillable.
