Mimosa in Winter Light: "Mimosa Verveine" by L'Occitane en Provence
With "Mimosa Verveine," L'Occitane en Provence is expanding its fragrance portfolio with a new, limited-edition unisex composition inspired by the mimosa season in Provence.
Their blossoms brighten up the markets and fill the air with a sunny fragrance. This light gives rise to a unique encounter: Verveine Mimosa, a fragrance like a ray of sunshine in the middle of winter.
L'Occitane en Provence
The fragrance is inspired by mimosa blossoms, which are in season in Provence from January to March. Its bright yellow flowers characterize the landscape, especially in the hills around Tanneron and along the Route du Mimosa. The evergreen silver wattle (Acacia dealbata) originates from Australia, but has been firmly established in Provence since the 19th century and is now considered one of the first signs of the approaching spring.

The fragrance opens with the lemony freshness of verbena. At its heart is the soft, powdery aroma of mimosa, accompanied by subtle jasmine. A base of moss anchors the composition and lends it a natural depth reminiscent of damp undergrowth after a mild winter rain.
"Mimosa Verveine" was created by French perfumer Sophie Truitard, who trained at ISIPCA and now works as a creative perfumer at Mane.
This fragrance tells the story of a day in the hills of Tanneron, a cool morning that gradually warms up under the sun's rays, reflected in the mimosa blossoms. Sophie Truitard
