“Mon Santal” and “Nabati Oud”: Astrophil & Stella Launches Two New Extraits de Parfum
With the unisex fragrances "Mon Santal" and "Nabati Oud", the Italian niche label Astrophil & Stella celebrates two iconic ingredients: sandalwood from Mysore and oud.
Mon Santal - A tribute to Mysore sandalwood
The perfumer Margaux Le Paih-Guérin created "Mon Santal" as a tribute to the noble Mysore sandalwood, which is prized for its creamy warmth and balsamic-sweet facets.

The composition opens with a lively, spicy accord of bergamot, grapefruit, pink pepper, cardamom and nutmeg, accompanied by fruity nuances of rhubarb and creamy rice. At the heart, balsamic and aromatic notes of palo santo and frankincense meet a gentle, milky lactone accord that emphasizes the soft side of sandalwood. The base combines Australian sandalwood with sensual, creamy accords of musk, vanilla and ambroxan, rounded off with sweet caramel.
Nabati Oud - The spirit of the desert
"Nabati Oud" was created by Christian Provenzano as an olfactory interpretation of a desert night - carried by the dark depth of the oud.

The opening combines fresh bergamot with spicy cardamom, ambrette and warm nuances of rum, cinnamon, saffron and star anise. At the heart, leather and oud merge into a smoky, resinous accord - inspired by the warmth of a fire on a desert night. Turkish rose, iris and davana add a soft, floral sweetness, while an aquatic note provides a touch of freshness. The finish is characterized by a powerful base of oud, sandalwood, cedarwood and vetiver, which is enveloped by amber, patchouli and vanilla.
Both fragrances are available in 50 ml bottles.
