The Fascination of the Forbidden: The Limited Perfume "P.70" by Xerjoff
The Italian luxury house Xerjoff expands its Sketchbook Collection with the oriental, leathery unisex fragrance "P.70", which olfactorily explores the desire for the unattainable.
P.70 is all about possessiveness and the extremes to which it can drive people. In this case, it's about locking something away and throwing away the key so that no one can have it. The chain and padlock mean that the perfume is now forbidden, but that only makes it more desirable - you always want what you can't have.

Between desire and prohibition
The fragrance is intended to capture the allure of the forbidden - the tension that arises when desire meets withdrawal. It tells of attraction and control, of the desire to hold on to what is desired, but not being able to possess it. The bottle also picks up on this motif: The chain and lock become symbols of a desire that remains locked away.
"P.70" opens with a lively interplay of sparkling bergamot, mango and floral accents of Turkish rose and violet. The heart reveals notes of amber, leather and clove, accompanied by the soft, blossoming nuances of jasmine. In the base, oak moss and Peru balsam combine with the smoky-sweet character of tobacco and the creamy roundness of vanilla.

A new chapter in the Sketchbook Collection
The fragrance is part of the Sketchbook Collection, which is based on the early designs of Sergio Momo, the founder and creative director of Xerjoff. In this series, his original paper sketches are translated into fragrances - as a tribute to the interplay between art and craft.
The collection kicked off with "P.33", characterized by sweet freshness, spicy warmth and a soft woody base. The limited-edition fragrances "P.13" and "P.18" followed this year: while "P.13" plays with the contrast of fruity freshness and dark depth, "P.18" focuses on citrus notes, amber and floral accords.
All of the bottles in the line come from Tuscan workshops, which are renowned for their glass processing. The polished surfaces, the gold-plated accents and the fine grooves for the chain are made by hand there, which is why no two bottles are the same.
The new fragrance is available in a limited edition 100 ml bottle.
