The New Unisex Fragrance "Amank'Ay" by Altaia: A Scented Journey Through Patagonia

Altaia unveils new Eau de Parfum "Amank'ay", a fragrance designed to transport you to the wild, untouched landscape of Patagonia.

In Patagonia, where the wild, rugged landscape gives free rein to the emotions, the legend tells of the Amank'ay flower, which symbolizes the tender devotion of the heart.

In "Amank'ay" combine the gentle warmth of ambrette seeds with the subtle floral note of Helvetolide®. Fruity exoticism unfolds in the form of rhino pear and lotus, accompanied by a hint of pink pepper. Finally, sandalwood rounds off the composition with its sensual, woody base.

The source of inspiration for the fragrance lies in a journey that took Marina and Sebastián to the remote southern tip of Argentina, to Patagonia.

Nestled among ancient forests and fast-flowing rivers, the sight of an Amank'ay meadow in full bloom touches the soul of all who see it, and it is this awe-inspiring beauty that Marina and Sebastián wanted to capture in a luminous tribute to the sweet bond of love. Amank'ay, the flower of love.

Altaia

Altaia, an acronym for 'A Long Time Ago in Argentina' reflects Marina and Sebastián's passion for the art of perfume making as well as their fascination with the narrative power of fragrance. At the same time, this passion springs from the extraordinary circumstances of their shared history.

In the 19th century, the paths of two families are said to have crossed in the vastness of Argentina. General Bartolomé Mitre, first president of a unified Argentina, opened the country to foreign investors. Brothers Charles and Walter Morrison, sons of successful entrepreneur James Morrison, recognized in this historic opportunity the vision of an industrialized future for Argentina and seized it.

More than 140 years later, the descendants of these families, Marina Sersale and Sebastián Alvarez Murena, are said to have met. Their meeting led not only to a love story, but also to the creation of two fragrance brands: 'Eau d'Italie' in 2004 and 'Altaia' in 2012. The Altaia fragrances pay homage to Positano and other beloved Italian places of the couple.

The new fragrance is available in a bottle size of 100 ml.
