Woody, Animalistic, Uncompromising: The "Shadid" Extrait de Parfum by Tauer Perfumes
With "Shadid", the Swiss niche house Tauer Perfumes is launching a new, strictly limited-edition unisex creation: woody, oriental and with animalistic depth.
SHADID is strength with soul.
Strong. Sensual. Oriental. UncompromisingTauer Perfumes

"Shadid" opens with the spicy freshness of coriander, which is infused with the sensual, striking animalism of castoreum. The composition then transitions into an earthy heart of musk, nagarmotha and rosewood, which lends depth to the fragrance. In the base, creamy sandalwood, soft vanilla, balsamic ambergris and dry cedarwood combine to create a warm finale.
The fragrance was created by Andy Tauer, the founder and perfumer of the house. A total of 235 flacons were handmade in Zurich.
About Tauer Perfumes
Behind the small label Tauer Perfumes is not a corporation, but Andy Tauer - a doctor of chemistry and former IT project manager who has turned his passion for fragrances into a career. What began as a creative side project developed into an independent brand with recognition value. Today, his fragrances are created in the Höngg district of Zurich.
His first fragrance, "No. 01 - Le Maroc pour Elle", was composed in 2004 at the request of a bookseller friend. His international breakthrough came with "No. 02 - L'Air du Désert Marocain", which was celebrated by perfume critic Luca Turin, among others.
Typical of Tauer's style are dry woods, ambergris, musk and spicy accents, often accompanied by a fine, not too sweet gourmand note such as cocoa, vanilla or balsamic nuances. This interplay characterizes the so-called "Tauer stuff" - an olfactory signature that pervades his compositions.
The new fragrance is available in a 50 ml bottle.
