A Tribute to Madagascar: The New "Red Island" Eau de Parfum From Memo Paris

With the unisex fragrance "Red Island", Memo Paris pays olfactory tribute to the color and fragrance world of Madagascar, carried by spicy longoza, roasted coffee and vanilla.

On the largest island in the Indian Ocean, the red-colored earth attracts attention everywhere.
Its fiery hue has earned it the nickname "the red island". The scenery is spectacular: from north to south, nature impresses with imaginative rock formations, lush plant life, unusual flora and fauna and fascinating archipelagos A symbol of this tropical scenery is the traveler's tree: Its fans, semi-circular like the wheel of a peacock, have become the symbol of a Memo Paris composition - captured in a tropical fragrance dream.

Memo Paris

Inspired by Madagascar's colors, aromas and botanical diversity, "Red Island" combines characteristic ingredients from the island to create a warm, spicy composition.

The top note opens with a fresh accord of bergamot, longoza - a wild plant native to Madagascar - and Madagascan cinnamon. At the heart, roasted coffee (CO₂ extract), carrot seed and sandalwood absolute combine to create a creamy, aromatic, slightly gourmand accord.   Finally, the base lends the fragrance depth and warmth through bourbon vanilla absolute, earthy Sulawesi patchouli and sweet-balsamic tonka bean.

The composition was created by perfumer Aliénor Massenet.

I wanted to capture the essence of a lively café - where the aroma of freshly roasted beans blends with the warm, vibrant atmosphere to create a sensory experience full of emotion and comfort.

A new chapter in the "Graines Vagabondes" collection

"Red Island" expands the "Graines Vagabondes" collection, which is inspired by the symbolic power of seeds and fruits. The focus is on herbal, fruity and invigorating notes that stand for growth, energy and natural vitality.

Previous compositions in the collection include "Ithaque", a citrusy-fresh ode to the mythical island world of Odysseus, "Flåm", a creamy-floral creation inspired by the northern lights and the protective warmth of a wooden house, and "Quartier Latin", an olfactory interpretation of the Parisian artists' quarter with tonka bean, amber and floral notes.

The fragrance is available in a bottle size of 75 ml.
