I never seem to learn..
First of all: I was tempted to buy a bottle by the incredible 8.5 Parfumobe rating, the thoroughly appealing fragrance notes and the random "inexpensive" availability of Amberwood.

And what can I say...
If I had to summarize all my feelings and impressions in one word, it would be "disappointing".

Don't get me wrong. The bottle including the spray head are a 10/10 and right up my street.

The fragrance itself is very harmoniously balanced and I also perceive the often described cool saline note. The woody note that joins in later is also classy and really nice to smell.

Up until now, you could almost think that the autocorrect had gone off on its own again with "disappointing" and that I wanted to write something completely different. But no, it remains "disappointing".

Because the Amberwood, and I can only speak for myself, has absolutely subterranean longevity. On the skin, the fragrance is barely perceptible after 2-3 hours and the sillage is also far too restrained. I can perhaps overlook the sillage, some people like it a little more discreet, but such poor durability for a fragrance that costs 11 EURO per milliliter almost borders on fraud in my personal opinion and demands.

I was aware that the Clive Christian fragrances are not performance monsters, but I think that's pretty cheeky, but in the end it somehow fits into the luxury segment. "A lot of money for little performance" and that's exactly where I have to classify Amberwood by Clive Christian for me.
