Which one
The question for me is, which amber fragrance is the best from the house of Clive Christian. I will give you my short answer later. Amberwood starts off with a minty earthy green blast in which the minty note fades, up come the spices with amber sitting alone in the background but to be honest the amber in this particular fragrance is not the main note, it plays a role but to me, at least on my skin this a cashmere wood fragrance with spices and a tiny amount of amber. So my conclusion is that Blonde Amber is the better amber fragrance. This is nice but that is a lot better.

Most memorable that Amberwood
Incredible opening with the highest quality ingredients imaginable. Get the woody Tonka uniqueness, it's like a redo of pretty much every note liated, of what I thought I know, so: perfect Bergamot, balmy Sage and minty purple florals with the smooth Tobacco in the bground, this is noble all purpose. Think a redid, reinvented sheer Lavander accord, probably not even in there, but built from the exact quality needed out of the other natural florals. Got the Musk and Vanilla approach in the ancient soul aspect to it as well, like opposite to Incense resins smoke. Mature unisex, nondry, nonpowdery, out of this world dry down, it's must try because it'll bring home so well. Very much pleased with the purchase.

Purer Reichtum!

He is unfortunately unjustly overshadowed by his (successful) brother! / A false image has been painted of you....
Hello everyone,

today I would like to share my opinion on the little dilemma of "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood | Clive Christian".

What do I mean by that exactly?

In the statements regarding "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood | Clive Christian", it was suggested that it is a 50 years + fragrance and so on! Let me put it this way, I am a delicate (still) 35 and I really enjoy wearing 1872 for Men, "Original Collection - X: The Masculine Perfume of the Perfect Pair / X for Men | Clive Christian", L for Men, "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress | Clive Christian", and also "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood | Clive Christian" for several months now, and to be honest, I have never (!) understood this statement...

Yes, fragrances from CC are more mature, higher quality, and not as pleasing as PDM; MFK, Xerjoff and co., but they certainly don't have to be - "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood | Clive Christian" brings a certain class with it, but I would never call it an "oldie" fragrance, because it certainly is not!

It is woody - spicy and starts pleasantly fresh (bergamot and sage) and slowly the freshness diminishes and it becomes more woody - slightly spicy, and the tonka bean noticeably enters the stage, but it is not very sweet - rather hardly sweet, and the drydown is the true highlight of the fragrance, the warm and slight creaminess is divine! The mix of amber, tobacco, and tonka bean - a 10 out of 10!

Its problem:

The dark sibling named "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber | Clive Christian" (my review of it here https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/Clive_Christian/noble-xxi-art-deco-blonde-amber/rezensionen/305231) and whether the hype surrounding it is justified or not, everyone must decide for themselves!

I find it a bit unfortunate that 2 really good ones ("Noble XX: Art Nouveau - Papyrus | Clive Christian" + "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood | Clive Christian") are forgotten because of this, and my little favorite "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress | Clive Christian" as well.

Which one is the best for you is of course a matter of opinion. I just see it this way, sometimes you gain more attention when you swim against the tide, rather than being one of many. And I see great potential in "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood | Clive Christian" since its release... (a sleeping giant)

Performance:

I find it quite fair... and you can excellently boost its performance with, for example, Molecule 01 or Herod or Layton Exclusif or Reflection 45!

If I really weren't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
(You can test it, but buying a bottle.... - if you like it as much as I do, then yes)

And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny

Not brother... Blonde Amber's father!
I don't want to make grand speeches or draw comparisons.
Cardamom-sage and bergamot in the top note. No idea how angelica seeds smell, but I don't care.
The bergamot and sage give it a rather cool effect and provide a certain freshness twist throughout. Tonka bean, amber, untreated wood, and subtly light green tobacco join in as it develops…
Incredibly well balanced!!!
But what matters most to me in this brilliant interplay is:
It never gets too sweet!!!
A spicy, fresh-creamy, and woody fragrance that comes across very pleasingly! Drydown 10/10.
Absolute world class!!!
The junior is also not bad, definitely not, but personally, I found it way too sweet and rather feminine.
Of course, tastes are known to vary greatly, but for me personally, Amberwood surpasses the dark blonde due to its special elegance and subtly restrained sweetness. Moreover, I love this beautiful spicy-woody drydown. Overall, Amberwood simply feels more mature.
I can't agree with the opinion that it is a 50+ fragrance. Sure, it's not a scent I would recommend to an 18-year-old, as one should bring a certain maturity, but in the end, everyone has their own taste.
I wholeheartedly recommend this fragrance and definitely advise you to test it!!!
I will definitely get it for special occasions or cozy evenings. Because that's where it belongs best. It will surely impress on dates as well.
In the end, I can say:
The newly rich youth with money can confidently reach for Blonde Amber
(Sweet is in trend)
Established, stylish men who have nothing and no one to prove anymore, reach for Amberwood!

Conclusion: Amberwood is not only better than Blonde Amber for me, Blonde Amber should pay respect to Amberwood!!!

Perfect for quiet evenings x intimate moments. Starts with sage, bergamot and woods. Then tonka and amber are revealed for a sexy vibe.

Woody, mildly spicy from the tobacco with a creamy sweetness in the base. Say Initio's Mystic Exp meets Kilian's Intoxicated. Rather quiet.

This is pretty nice on initial spray but that dry down hits different! Sexy as hell. Might be my favorite Clive Christian.

Subtle, woody, resinous, attractive gentleman scent. Beautifully blended, pleasant (Blonde Amber is not). Not smoky, very mild spicy touch.

Amberwood is woody and spicy, with sage, sweet amber and tobacco hints. But the drydown feels just like an unoriginal Luna Rossa Black.

Perfectly woody and spicy with a touch of sweetness, it’s a beautiful, intoxicating fragrance. I adore the complexity and its gentle sillage.

A much spicier version of Prada Black combined with a hint of Blonde Amber. I really like it! Good performance.

Didn't like it on paper, tried on skin. Superb drydown, very relaxing, shame is a bit weak, and pricey.

On quiet amber paws
You meet at sage gates
Entrance to mineral places
First conveying coldness
Then revealing tonka air
